Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am the oldest child of Harold E. Beard and Daisy Brumfield. I grew up in New Orleans and spent a lot of time on my great grandparents' farm in Salem, Walthall Co., MS. Our family cemetery (Spence) is located there on original property of my ancestor, William Washington Spence.
I became interested in genealogy at a young age, listening to stories told by my great grandmother, Ettie Spence Pigott. Since then, researching ancestors and related families has become a life-long adventure. It is my favorite hobby and past-time.
I am an educator by profession. I do teacher training at Southeastern Louisiana University.
I have been fortunate enough to have lived abroad in Brazil, and traveled extensively in the Americas, the Caribbean and Europe. (I have been to thirty countries and every state in the USA.)

Thank you for your corrections.

Also, each person gets a memorial even if they are in the same grave. Twins are done as "Twin #1" then the surname and the next one gets a memorial with "Twin #2" and the surname.

With your single memorial for "three unknown babies", you may want to consider doing three memorials...one for each grave. For example: Infant #1 Unknown, Infant #2 Unknown, Infant #3 Unknown.

Many members state in the bio section on the Unknown memorials who are buried nearby as it may be family.

You have a great time graving in Mississippi...stay warm.

Names on the title of the memorial
I thought you want to read this from the website guidelines, which are located on the left side of any memorial under "Help with Find A Grave"

Memorial Naming Conventions:

If a hyphen or an apostrophe is part of the name, use the punctuation.
Use a period after names where only an initial is known. If the full name is known, use the full name and not the initial.
Do not use any other punctuation within any Name Field.
Do not use Full capitalization (ALL-CAPS) of names in any Name Field.
Suffixes and Prefixes do not belong in any Name Field.

I happened to see that several of your memorial titles with the names in parenthesis. The indexing program doesn't know what to with this memorial so it goes to the top of the list instead of being in alphabetical order. For example: Unknown Unknown is indexed under "U" but (Unknown) or (Infant Daughter) just goes to the top of the index and no one can search for the grave. You have to have the last name to search even if it is the word Unknown.

Samuel Ophelia Brumfield
Sam's old house is just up the road from my aunt and uncle's house.
What has struck my interest was the house, as I have learned from my uncle, Sam was a heck of a man.
I have found lots of info on most of his wives and children. Except one,
Pauline "Polly" Brumfield
As I understand it, she was the last descendant that lived at the house.
I read on here that she may have had the last name, Livingston. Still even Livingston draws no information.
If you would, could you provide any information?

Luther Cothern
Your last request was for me to delete this memorial so I cannot make your latest request for correction on Luther Cothern in Enon Cemetery.

Sorry
Bill

Sssanah Youngblood Sibley
Chris, a memorial for Susannah Youngblood Sibley who is buried in the Bacot Cem. in Pike Co. MS already exists. It was placed there in 2012. You need to remove 136175858. Thanks.
