I have been taking headstone photos of family states from North Dakota to Pa. to Kansas to North Carolina for many years and adding to my Family. I am pleased to share any of my research with family.|
ON THE F.A.G. site, I have added hundreds of photos, cemeteries, missing dates.... and most important, added MAPS to help others locate cemeteries.. One problem is that many request photos to be taken, but there is NO location given or it is WRONG, making it difficult to help. A reliable MAP makes it so much easier.
I am more than happy to TRANSFER to a family member any memorial that I have added if they so request.
In following request, I find it a shame that so many old, and sometimes forgotten cemeteries are neglected, grown up in brush, weeds and even trees making it very difficult to photograph.
My wife, when able, has also enjoyed walking over cemeteries helping me look for headstones making it an unusual outing for us. We marvel at some unusual names epitaphs and designs.
We enjoy helping others by following up on request in my area as time and weather permit.
Thanks to all who help build this site.

My pleasure, Fred!! I will certainly keep that name in mind!! Am sorry that the stones are in such poor shape for you :-(
By the way, my wife is currently working on "Wenner" folks found in St. James cemetery near Benton. Any chance it's a mutation of the name???

|Audrey DeCamp Hoffman||Hi Fred,|
That was a dumb mistake. I'm glad that I followed up. I have deleted what I did. Sorry that I put you to so much work......Audrey
|Audrey DeCamp Hoffman||Hi Fred,|
I requested a photo of the tombstone for Mary Elizabeth Long Stevens at the Pineview Cemetery. This information on her death certificate was all typed in. Her name was Mrs Elizabeth Long Stevens. She was prepared for burial by Miller and Kerns Inc., Charlotte, N.C. To be buried on 3-29-1960 at Pineview Cemetery, Rocky Mount, N.C.
The note that I received was Office has double checked, even for a similar name with NO luck.... dates did not match...Perhaps she is in another cemetery or under a married name...Please check and advise..... be happy to follow up for you..
She may have slipped through the cracks in the cemetery records. That is not unusual. I have worked with my local cemetery and genealogical society, and have helped to correct problems similar.....Audrey DeCamp Hoffman.
