Bio and Links
Bio Photo It never ceases to amaze me how many people visit or create memorials for deceased people but balk at having a picture of a piece of paper that says someone has died.....?? Just saying!

I started doing research on my family tree around 1995 with my grandmother Dennis.

If you need edits to a memorial I have created please *********PER FAG...POST DOCUMENTATION SUPPORTING YOUR EDIT REQUEST FIRST and then please use the "EDIT" tab.******** It has been said that "Genealogy without documentation is mythology." (THANK YOU SUSAN!!)

As of February 2016 I am currently uploading pictures of all the graves in Seaford Odd Fellows Cemetery. After I enter everything entered I will go back and check for duplicates and any other problems. Thanks!

My favorite epitaphs:

Marion Michael Morrison (John Wayne):

Today is the most important thing in life
Comes into us at midnight very clean
It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands,
It hopes we've learned something from yesterday.

Godfrey Beamguard:

Adieu all both far and near, my loving wife and children, For my immortal soul has fled, I now lie numbered with the dead. Remember friends as you pass by, As you are now, so once was I, As I am now, so you must be, Prepare for death and follow me."

RE: Hopkins
Hi Laura-- I shouldn't say the mystery of Mary Flutcher Hazzard Little and the Duttons is quite solved. A census has her with a father named William Hazzard; I also find a William Hazzard as the witness to James M. Dutton's marriage in 1846 in Delaware, so the connection between the families went way back..... Holly

RE: Hopkins

I did more checking and I'm sure now that Mary's maiden name is Hazzard, because I found her family in the 1850 census from Sussex Co. She was born Mary Flutcher Hazzard in Nov 1838. I don't know who the Duttons are or their relationship to the family, but they are gone in the 1890 census when Mary is a widow.

Cheers, Holly Smith

RE: Hopkins
Dear Laura,
I didn't write down all the edits I suggested, but if you can see, I have a tree that would document what I know (or don't)

Or if you can remind me of issues one at a time, I can look each one up.

Mary (1838-1927?), the young wife of Henry Little is a bit of a mystery. She appears variously with the names Flutcher, Hazzard and Dutton, and I have never figured out which of these is her maiden name and which might refer to a previous husband.

I'll keep looking though!

Best regards, Holly Smith, Ann Arbor

RE: Photo Transcriptions
Hello Laura,

I transcribed photos and did not transcribe multiple of the same photo. Since I did not "create" the memorial, therefore, I cannot delete the memorial. You are listed as the "creator" on each memorial that I tested. As I understand each memorial page, only the "creator or manager" can transfer management, edit or delete the page.
If you cannot manage the page, this is apparently a error with Find A Grave, and they would need to correct the errors. Sorry that I am not able to assist you in this endeavor.

RE: Transcribing
Hi Laura

I'm sorry to hear about the duplicate memorial problem and I have gone in to try deleting as you asked, however it will not allow me to delete either. I'm afraid you will have to contact Find A Grave to try to get them to resolve this as you are listed on both as the creator. Let me know if I can do anything else to help. Ron

Marshall Cranford Adams' Elmwood Cemetery
I moved my memorial picture to Marshall Cranford Adams and deleted my memorial.

The links will have to be re-established by someone else.

Thanks for catching my duplicate.

RE: Regarding Sally Booth 107129548
I do not know of any links they may have found.
Maybe the three of them just decided to investigate
the area and like it.
