I currently live in Seaford, Delaware. I got interested in geneaology later in life. Became involved in it because I knew very little about my mothers side of the family. In 1999, I took 9 names and worked on it till now in 2008, that list has grown to over 800 names. Another family member had worked on my father's side. In doing research, I found a couple of overlaps. The member who had been doing my father's side has passed away. Since 2001, I have branched out doing both sides of family. My family now contains the names-Blocksom, Cannons, Deans, Fishell, Knowles, Massey, Morgan, Morris, Trice, Towers, Warrens, Wheatleys and Williams.|
Found that many of the some small cemeteries are disappearing. I am trying to locate and preserve little family plots that show up in fields, woods, ect. Trying to preserve their information for others who are searching. Hoping my work will help others find family. HAve transcribed several church cemeteries in my local area of Sussex County, Delaware.
I am willing to help others with genealogy, if I can. I am always looking for more information about various families. Glad to share any data I have with others looking. If you write, try to include something about geneaology or graves so I know it is not spam.

Hey there Brenda - I think we're about 50% there! I deleted the dups of the ones that you've moved to the correct cemetery and I've re-sent edits for the ones that still need to be moved - and (to make sure you're busy!) I've sent you a few auto-edits for dates and stuff on the ones I deleted. Whew! We'll get this yet! Thanks! Cor.

I noticed you created a page for Howard E Schroen Sr. He is buried at Firemans Cemetery, Sharptown, Wicomico County, Maryland. No photo of a stone was posted. I am related to him but have never been able to find out name of spouse. I then saw a second memorial site created by you for Merle E Schroen, buried in the same plot: Section C Plot 10 B. Do you know if that is Howard's spouse or another Schroen family member. I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you. Rose (nee Schroen)

I am happy to see that you photographed the gravestone of Ida Alford in Hillcrest Cemetery (Memorial# 16705549).
I would like to add this gravestone photo to the (non-profit) Alford American Family Association's collection of Maryland Obituaries, where her obituary is (or will be) included. You can see the current collection at http://www.alfordassociation.org/OBITS/MDOBIT.htm.
May I have your permission to include your gravestone photos? If so, the photo caption will say:
Photo from [cemetery name, city, county, state]—www.findagrave.com
Permission granted by the photographer, Brenda Massey
And thanks so much for your gravestone photo work! By the way, your firstname.lastname@example.org address bounced for me.

Hi Brenda, I'm having such trouble with Wilkersons. I have several at Westwoods also who no one can find their marker/stones. ?? thanks for trying. Might you know of anyone who has burial records from that cemetery who could at least verify he is there perhaps? Did you find any "Wilkinson" there? sometimes that's how it is spelled on various docs. thanks

Hi Brenda, you must be busy or my SAC from April just fell through the cracks. Hope you don't mind my sending an edit request via this message. Martha's initial W is for maiden name WILLIAMS. Martha E. Williams, born in Maryland, she is daughter of John Williams and Helen (nee?).note: on her marriage record, February 3, 1868, Dorchester, Maryland, gives her husband's name as "Luther" Thompson.
Louder may be a version of Luther and his memorial is 78602321. Thanks for your time to add info and link her to spouse.
