Bio Photo (Desperately hoping someone, anyone, will create a new website called FIND AN OBIT. This is not the place for adding someone who passed away yesterday especially when often there's no cemetery or disposition even mentioned. Many times family would like to add their own loved ones & resent having to wait for a transfer, if they even receive one. Hats off to those Find A Gravers who dig out the old obituaries & add them to memorials. That's what makes this site so helpful for genealogy purposes. Adding this week's death total is just morbid & ghoulish, especially when three people add the same person on the same day. Who was first? Numbers shouldn't be the goal here! Just my opinion)

My interests are genealogy & history, especially military history~God Bless our veterans & active duty servicemen & women!

I really enjoy visiting cemeteries searching for ancestors & always try to take some other grave photos while there. It's fascinating to read some of the older inscriptions & see the style & design that went into the older monuments.

Find A Grave is the best site on the web & has helped me a lot. It's enabled me to find family members who moved away years ago & some that I thought I'd never find.

We've all lost loved ones, wonderful people we'll never forget. This site gives us an opportunity to remember them with photographs, obituaries, family stories & monument photos. It's always a great feeling when someone finds a family member that they'd been unable to locate. I'm sure that's what makes this site so very popular!

I'm always happy to transfer family members or make corrections or additions! I'll gladly remove a memorial, also, if requested. Feel free to use any of the memorial photos I've posted for your family tree,, etc.!

Dee, You can delete your edit - go to the pull down edit box and click on "Pending edits sent to others" - find the edit - and then click on the little X on the right side - it will ask if you really want to delete.

Dee -
On checking further, I see 2 other Dietz great aunts buried at St. Paul's. If you wouldn't mind, could you transfer Wilhelmina Dietz Horn (110085502) and Louise A H Dietz (110085424) to me?

RE: Dietz family
Friedrich and Maria are my great grandparents. Annie Leeser is my great aunt. If you'd like to transfer them, that would be fine with me. Thanks for getting them set up.

Mary Gassaway
Hi Dee E.,
Thanks very much for the posting of Mary Gassaway's grave in Loudon Park. As you know, it is unmarked, but there is information in the office.
The Baltimore Sun obituary was incorrect in showing her husband as Daniel J Gassaway. Mary had spent many years in what was then called the Bayview Asylum. Someone at Bayview must have generously placed the obituary. Her husband was Samuel Gassaway. He was not in good health either and died in June 1923. He is also in Loudon Park with his daughter, Emma Eckels, and family. His grave is marked and on Find-a-Grave.
Thank you again for all that you do,

Hello again Dee,
Thank you for your generosity in transferring:
Eva Fay Campbell Basham # 90985130
and her brothers;

As I receive more information, I will add it to Our shared memorials.
Yes, I may take you up on your kind offer to transfer more memorials.
With sincerest appreciation,

RE: Virgnia Saunders Saylor
The marriage info for Washington County online says Jennie Sanders. So I think it is Sanders.

Thank you so much for doing all the updates!
