RE: Walton Robertson
Would be interested in the "Robertson" book if it is still available. Would love to talk with you regarding Ellen Robertson Richardson Bardo if you are interested. You may contact me directly at john@johnbirdphotos.com

Walton Robertson
Interred in Alexander Cemetery, Erath County, TX. You supplied a photo of him. Curious how you obtained the photo. His mother Ellen Thornton Robertson Bardo was my great grandmother.

RE: Bird Cemetery Knox County, Tennessee
Sorry, I've been out of touch for a couple of days.

I have not been to cemetery, I made my entries based on a book by Robert McGinnis on Knox County cemeteries.

However, if you go to Bird Cemetery on Findagrave and then go to the cemetery description, Findagrave now has a separate tab at the top left next to "Info" that is marked "map" and it has a county map with coordinates and pretty clearly shows where it is located.

Hope that helps you find it. I do have Bird relatives - second wife of my great-grandfather William Herrell - was Sarah Elizabeth Hill and she was first married to John Bird/Byrd (seen it spelled both ways), but I don't think I've tied him to the Birds at this cemetery.

Keller Thompson
Hi - Would you link Keller Thompson to his parents - Daniel Thompson (53341061) and Louisa Hancock Thompson (53368562) - They are all in Hopkins Cemetery - Thanks, Cindy Davis

Hi,
I found your message about my relatives on the wrong message board. A cousin by marriage entered a bunch of my direct relatives on Find-a-grave, so it is confusing. My brother gave the DNA at familytree and I am the one doing genealogy. I am not sure what it means when there is a match but the surname isn't the same. It may mean that the common ancestor is way,way back. If you'd like to correspond, that would be fine.

Laura, I don't know if you learned anything about the Phillips family in Ellisville but I can tell you my SC born AMOS DEASON and several of his McMANUS nephews moved to Ellisville. Those nephews had an aunt in SC who md AARON PHILLIPS and moved to AL. Aaron had a brother, I'm told, suprisingly named ANDERSON PHILLIPS who moved to AL and then MO. Their PHILLIPS father was Elijah and mother was Sarah (MASSEY) PHILLIPS. The Deasons and McManuses (and Aaron Phillips' family) were tightly connected in early SC and stayed connected even after moving out of state. Hugh, one of the nephews became an early Sheriff in Ellisville. Feel free to contact me by email if you think you could use further info. Barbara

Laura...

Sorry, wish I could help you. I remember doing Mt. Moriah Cemetery, and being contacted by someone shortly after I added the names last May. I don't save the e-mails after I make the corrections as I can receive 50+ corrections a day.

Laura,

I don't have another photo showing the entire stone, but I do live relatively close and could try to make it over there in the next week to ten days. I had to cut the name off or someone might add them to findagrave even though they are living. Some people are like that.

I will get back to you after I go over there.
