Our Family Mesquite Tree has grown deep roots in Ward County Texas where my Great Grandfather journeyed in a covered wagon from Georgia in the 1890's.
My siblings and I are the 5th Generation of these West Texas Pioneers. We were raised where our great grandfather, grandfather and father put down roots. Our Family Geneaology Study and Documentation began with my Aunt Irene who spent countless hours researching Historical Societies from Georgia to Texas.
My primary search and focus includes these family Patriarch/Matriarch names:
George Washington Pittman/Emma J. Howell

Elisha Smith Marley/Mary Josephine Leatherwood
(Father's Maternal Grandmother Family)
Steven Bennett Carroll/Martha Jane Marley

The Family Mesquite Tree has been the source for stories from Covered Wagon Journeys to Bronc Bustin'. These passed down stories are the basis for my Genealogy Website...Tracks of My Texas Ancestors. (see Website link)

I do not know Clay's family or whoever is managing his memorial, so can't be of any help to you there. Note in your bio you have deep roots in Ward County. So do I. My mother's family roots go back as early as 1885 in the Ward, Winkler County area. | | | Perry L. Williams
