I am a first-generation Californian and I reside in the northern portion of that state today. My ancestors, both paternal and maternal, were among the first founders of America - early settlers of Massachusetts and New York, respectively.
I have been conducting genealogical research on a serious level since 1994. I am in the process now of becoming both a certified genealogist and an accredited genealogist. I am a family historian, as well, (yes, there's a difference) and a prosopographer (don't worry - almost no one knows what that means).
One of my distant cousins, Edgar J. Bullard, once wrote, "To preserve details about our ancestors from wasting records and fast-decaying monuments is the privilege and the meed of those who compile family histories." He could not have said it any better and I couldn't agree with him more.
I positively DESPISE memorial hoarders. I do not hoard memorials and I am always willing to transfer memorials for individuals that are not in my own family tree. All you need to do is ask me. You need not be within the four-generation direct line guideline for me to transfer a memorial to you, either. I also DESPISE rule Nazis that have nothing better to do than to crawl up Jim Tipton's bum and then harass other users. Can you tell that I've had some bad experiences at Find a Grave? Haha! =D
I do not display my email address on my profile page in an attempt to avoid email address "harvesting bots". If you wish to send me a private message, however, please send email to elizabee(AT)wildblue.net - substitute the (AT) with an @ symbol. | |

 | RE: Mary Jane Miller Bixel Eliza, Hello, can you do me a favor and link Mary Jane Miller Bixel's memorial to her parents. Father: John G. Miller - #112057480 Mother: Melissa H. Ford Kennedy - #33068636
The couple had seven children and I believe Mary Jane was their first born.
Thanks, Roland | | | Ann

 | Marshall Samuel Rowe Thank you for the information regarding Marshall and Katie Smart Rowe. I know that the tombstone has Marshall S. Rowe and that is why I didn't put the middle name in the name area when I set up the Memorial. They were married at Okolona, Clark County, Arkansas. Most of my Rowe family is buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery and I visit there often. | | | ivana montenegro

 | George Phillips Eliza, Do you have any add'l info on George Phillips who is buried with his daughter, Mary Ella Phillips Annis Day? I'm trying to confirm that George and Mary (Kennedy) Phillips are also the parents of Henry Phillips who married Lena Ewoldsen in 1886 in Clarke County, IA; and that they are also the parents of Lucinda and William, both of whom are buried in Ottawa Cemetery, Clarke County, IA. Lena Ewoldsen Phillips is my great grant-aunt and I'm trying to tie up some loose ends in the family history. Thanks. Sheila Smith Stepko
