Photo Request
Hi Lester
My name is Scott. I am a 21 y/o college student and amateur genealogist. I was wondering if you would be willing to do me a huge favor by taking pictures of the graves of two of my relatives. They are buried in United Hebrew Cemetery on SI.
Their names are Miriam and David Ross
They are buried in Block 4, Row 16, Graves 1 and 2.
I would really appreciate it if you could do this for me.
I submitted photo requests on findagrave.com
Thanks
Scott

Barney Blum
Dear Lester,

On find a grave, you (or find a grave) have my Great-Great Uncle, Barney Blum as being buried at United Hebrew Cemetery. He is not buried there. He is buried at Baron Hirsch Cemetery 1126 Richmond Ave, SINY. He is in Public 15, Section G, Grave 62.

Is it possible to change the cemetery photo from United Hebrew to Baron Hirsch.

Any help you can give will be appreciated.
Sincerely,
Judith Lovas

Email "out of office" / photo requests
Dear Lester,

I had placed a photo request earlier this evening for my Great-Grandfather and Grandmother, Hyman and Fannie Jalkow, who are laid to rest at United Hebrew Cemetery on Staten Island. Shortly after my email was sent, I received the following email from Find-A-Grave, which is as follows:

Out of Office: Find A Grave Photo Request: United Hebrew Cemetery "Rose M McClellan is no longer with the firm. If you have firm related business, please direct your inquiries to the employee's manager or Human Resources Department at (212) 558-3583. "

Can you please tell me if I need to resubmit my requests, and if so, how long I need to wait to do that, since the website says a request was already placed.

Many thanks for your time and assistance, and happy holidays to you and yours.

United hebrew cemeeary
Lester,

I noticed you live on Staten Island and have taken pictures in United Hebrew cemetery. My grandfather Ralph Zolan is buried there and I pretty sure it is in the Petrokower section. Could you find his grave and take a picture of it. Also if possible could you see if there are other Zolan's as my dad thinks their was a family plot or others in the family buried there. His grandfather and mother were William and Rose Zolan. Other names Fannie and Joseph Kushinsky, Morris and Sonja Kolinsky and Samual and Bessie Fox. If you find them, tell me so I could make a memorial so you could add the pictures to them. It is possible Zolan could also be listed as Solan.
Thank you very much if you able to help.

Cohen Graves
Hello,
My grandfather Thomas Cohen is also buried in Wellwood. He had 4 brothers: Louis, Simon, Benjamin and Michael. His parents were Herman and Etta Cohen.

Do any of these names sound familiar to you? Other than a few census records I know nothing of these ancestors.

Thanks,
Jeff Carlen

This memorial was entered by another also. Memorial #64143321. Your memorial has beautiful pixs and the other one has a beautiful bio. Maybe you want to combine the two. Check it out.

RE: Irving and Esther Paul
I noticed that (yet another birth year for Irving) but it didn't surprise me. He was born a different year in every document I found on him. Makes me wonder.
Do you by any chance know what it says (I'm assuming) in Hebrew on his headstone?
Thanks again!

Thank you so much for the photographs of my grandparents grave markers. My grandmother died when I was three days old and I've never been to her grave. I can't tell you what it meant to me to finally see her grave marker. I literally teared up. Thank you soooo much!!!

RE: Pearl Walden at Baron Hirsch
Before you make a trip back, see if you can email me your original image. When you upload to the web it reduces the resolution to 72ppi. Let me know if you don't have my email address any more.
Thanks so much!

Pearl Walden at Baron Hirsch
Sorry to bother you but I was wondering if you had a high res version of the photo you took of my ggggm Pearl Taube Walden. I am trying to transcribe the headstone and need to enlarge the image in order to do so.
