Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Sheri and I am a genealogist, thus the nickname "Gen-Sher" because I like sharing my genealogy knowledge.

Find a Grave in creating little miracles everyday by connecting the living with their ancestors, relatives and friends. I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES.

By adding cemetery memorials to Find a Grave, I am trying to add correct birth and death information, including places, parents, spouse and children (and photos when possible). Sometimes the stone just has the years (i.e. 1876-1947). If I can find the birth and death dates on Ancestry, I like to add that information, too. I also try to find obituaries, then add links to other family members.

In placing obituaries on the memorials, I am attempting to provide families and researchers with additional information on the individual. Obituaries published in newspapers are in the public domain and as such, anyone can legally post an obituary and its photo. There are no copyrights unless noted in the obituary. I hope I don't offend anyone. If I do, I am sorry and will gladly delete information.

If you find mistakes on a memorial, please let me know by telling me in "Edit" on that memorial. I will gladly correct mistakes.

If you'd like to manage a memorial I posted, please let me know by asking under "Edit" on that memorial. I will transfer to any relative or friend, unless the memorial is for one of my own relatives.

I have always found cemeteries a place of serenity and meditation, away from the busyness of the everyday world. To me they are very sacred, as the lives of those buried there are sacred.

By sharing information of those who have "gone before", we are honoring their lives. Some people live and die without any fanfare. This site gives the dead their "Notice".

Thank you for you "vote of confidence" to accept the edits for the memorial of George Waddell #84284492. Also for the promptness.

I would be pleased if you would go to my Bio and visit my parents' memorials by clicking on their links.

Charles R Phipps
I am doing research for the Virginia War Memorial. I found a military headstone application for Charles Phipps and it shows his date of birth as March 21, 1908 and death as March 3, 1945. The date of birth is approximate with the 1910 and 1920 Federal Census records.

You're the best! Thank you for that quick link. Some UMES students are planning to clean up the old Nelson family cemetery near Crisfield this Saturday and document the graves. I thought I better make sure my memorials were in good shape! Thanks again, Valerie

Transfer & thank you
Thank you for your generosity in transferring:
Harry Cooley Ring # 71347640
to my care.
With your help, I have successfully connected him with his parents, some of his nine siblings, his wife and two children. As I receive more information, I will be adding to Our shared memorial.
With sincerest appreciation,
# 47059326

Lucy E. Smith and Louis A. Smith
Can you transfer Lucy E. Smith(1885-1947) and her husband Louis A. Smith(1883-1968) to me. Lucy was my Great-Great Grandfather Littleton Townsend's sister.

John Barnette
Thank you so much for the correction. Yes, his wife Sarah was 10 years older than he was. Where is she buried? You said she was in an other cemetery. I have been looking for her as well. Thank you again for your help.

John W. Barnette
Memorial # 48359877 is linked to Elizabeth Barnett as his wife. I believe this John W. Barnette was married to Sarah Jane Martin not Elizabeth and wondered if you can tell me more about the linking to Elizabeth. Also I think the death year has been mistranslated to 1916 and it should be 1913. I do not know if you are close to the cemetery and could possibly do a check again as to the death year. I may be totally wrong, but if it is indeed 1913 then I can link all of his children and spouse to him and add more details. Again, I may have the wrong person..... Thanks for all you do!
