Bio Photo Because of fires, floods and loss, I started photographing all the markers in Jackson Co Michigan in Nov 2006. We've discovered the 1927 DAR WPA cemetery transcription project didn't have anyone actually walk any of the county cemeteries. They obtained the information from cemetery records, church records and neighbors. Fortunately for all of us this included records of those graves with no markers. Most of the early cemetery records have perished along with some of the cemeteries. Hopefully, we will be able to provide info for descendants of the early/current residents of Jackson County Michigan. By using census, marriage, death and local history information we try to make our entries as complete as possible. Email with info on your ancestors and we'll add them to any of our records. We'll be happy to help you in your search.

Currently, I'm working on adding maiden names to as many memorials as possible.

As of 22 Aug 2009 Jackson Co FAG volunteers have 66,501 burials recorded, by Jan 2010 72,323 burials and by Jan 2013 101,483 burials. Many of the cemeteries have been completed with pics.

Please request edits, corrections & transfers thru the SAC tab (edit tab on the memorial page) and not here on the home page. Remember to check the new "edit" tab on your own homepage to see the corrections/additions sent to you.

Thanks to all those FAGer's who have trusted me to take care of their memorials and have transferred their memorials over to me while they take a leave from findagrave.

Esek and Amaryllis Wheaton tombstone
I appreciate all the photos you have contributed. Do you know where I could look for death records of Esek (d. 1850) and Amaryllis Wheaton (d. 1842)whose tombstone photo you contributed? My ultimate goal is to verify that Samuel Wheaton, my great, great, great grandfather, who lived in Hanover, Jackson County, MI in 1843 at the time of his marriage is Esek's son. I'm also working on finding Samuel's death certificate. Any suggestions are deeply appreciated. Nancy

Howe tombstone photos
I want to thank you very much for your photos of various Howe family tombstones. I am in Washington State and will probably never be able to go to Michigan to take such photos myself.
Thank you,

RE: Beldings
I appreciate your wisdom.

From the book it says: Consider Belding...[removed] 1839 to Hanover, Jackson, MI. His wife d in Apr 1843 and abt. 1847 he broke up housekeeping and lived with his children until his death in 1849, at the residence of his oldest son, Elihu, in Moscow, Hillsdale Co., MI.

Two children are claimed of dying in Hanover, MI: Daughter Lucretia and Son John; Son Selah died near Hanover. Two daughters married there and moved to other parts of MI.

Am sad they cannot be found.

Thanks for your help! You're the BEST!!!

Peterson Cemetery
Hi Deb.

Thanks for your great work at the Peterson Cemetery in Clarklake. Not only do you have memorials, but you also have the family connections. My wife's ancestors are buried there and we plan to visit in September. Your work has made our upcoming visit so much more meaningful. I have been adding info from my wife's tree, especially parents' names and birth/death places. I believe the one marked "Isaac Conover" is Ida Conover, sister of Eva. I think I have connected most of the dots, except Eric Kelly Gokay -- I'm beginning to doubt whether he is actually buried there. Thanks, again. Rod

Mr. George
You ere kind enough to put up Minnie Skiles George 1862 - 1956 in Ingomar cemetery several years ago. Is there any clue who her husband is? Is there any other George there? Most grateful, Eileen
