I am a high school math teacher and have been doing geneaology for over 25 years with extensive research on my extended family. I have traced some lines back to the early 1600's with almost all lines into the 1700's. My family is all from either the Pfalz in Germany or from the counties of Carmarthenshire, Glamorganshire, Breconshire and Monmouthshire in Wales. All of my lines settled in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The vast majority of my family is buried in Pittston Avenue Cemetery, Abington Hills Cemetery and Washburn Street Cemetery. Although many of my submissions are those of family members and family friends, many more are cemeteries that I have walked and recorded or graves near those which were photo requests. Sometimes I just walk cemeteries to record what is there. Even the best kept cemeteries have stones that are eroding and decaying. If we don't record this information that is there, it may disappear forever, as so many stones have.|
I am not territorial. I post photos and information for everyone to share. I don't understand those who feel that they "own" information in a cemetery that is clearly there for to see. We all live in different places. How great it is to be able to share what is close to our homes with people from all over who can never visit a cemetery in person. Feel free to use any family photos for your personal use. It is not necessary to give me the credit. Just don't use them for profit. I abhor people who profit from the stolen work of others.
Although I welcome any corrections that you may find on my submissions and look forward to hearing from any family members or anyone else who is just plain interested, please do not contact me if you are not willing to leave your name. I don't deal with anonymous. I will happily transfer ownership of any page to any family members who politely ask, but please do not involve me in any family squabbles. I do this to help others and for fun. Let's keep it fun.

|Sally S. Olsen||RE: Klos / Kloss|
thanks Tom. I did see that KLOS sends one to KLOSS, but apparently my brother didn't see that. I tried to go to the cemetery yesterday as we were driving past, but it was closed. As the sign in the photo says, it is open only from Palm Sunday to (sometime in the fall that I don't recall). there is a tall fence and locked gate that keep all but the most nimble out. I will drive down (3+ hours from us) some day and take photos and add them to KLOSS and to the other ancestors who are there and don't have photos. I'll also try to fulfill the outstanding photo requests from others.
Margaret and Fritz are my GG grandparents, my GF was one of Sophia's sons.
Thank you for all the work you've done with find-a-grave!

My brother Eric Olsen asked me to look up Margaret Danser Kloss at St Mary's cemetery in Scranton, hoping to find information about her parents. He submitted photo requests for Margaret Kloss and Franz Kloss. I see that you created pages for both of them including a list on each page of their children. You also created pages for Margaret KLOS and Franz KLOS with photos of their markers and a note that the name changed to KLOSS at some point. Is there a way to combine these better? Or maybe add the KLOS photos to the KLOSS entries?

Hi! I am hoping you are still into the family geneology. I am really having a hard time finding info about my dad's (Don's) family. In particular, my grandmother, Marguerite's family. Do you have a tree on ancestry.com? I recently did the DNA test so I hope that helps with some connections eventually as more people do it.

Thank you for George's memorial. I appreciate you!
|Ken MacMillan||Martha MacMillan Winters|
Thank you for all the work you do on this site. I have one correction on Martha Winters. She was my Great Grandfather James H MacMillan's sister. She was born in Dunmore, Pa. Her parents are Robert and Jane Brown MacMillan who are also buried in Dunmore Cemetery. They came here from Scotland in
1850. My cousin is actually named after Frank Winters. He is Frank Winters MacMillan III

Hello Tom. While researching the Ceccarelli in the PA area I saw that you photographic this headstone but the names didn't match up with the subject Amelia Ceccarelli. But I do see the names and I tried to search the same cemetery and notice the name "memorial" that I can see are not added to this cemetery F.A.G. page. I am researching for a James Ceccarelli in this area, would you happen to know the dates on this headstone?
|Peter Mc||Benjamin T. Simpson|
Hello Tom. I solved the mystery of the 2 Benjamin T. Simpsons with the same dates buried in the Dunmore Cemetery. They are the same person, who was married twice and is listed on both of his wives gravestones. Quite interesting, I've never seen this before and it makes it difficult for making connections. I'm going to send you an edit for the "other" Benjamin Simpson to also connect him to his mother and then I will make a note in the bio of the mother about why Benjamin is connected twice. Thanks.

If you look at the picture of the stone that I posted on his memorial, it has the birth date on it: March 27, 18**. It is a shame the stone is broken in half and I could not photograph the rest of the birth date and death date. And it looks like he shared the stone with his wife. If you look at the stone that his is resting on, it has the name Nancy with Apr and Aug. visible. If you like, I can post that pic to his wife's memorial also.
