Bio

Hometown of Hammond, Indiana, near Chicago. I now live in Boise, Idaho. I've worked full time in EMS as a paramedic and instructor since 1978. I also have worked part time for funeral homes in the area. My EMS work has included an EMS provider, manager, educator, and in communications. I've been photographing cemeteries and grave sites since 1999. I have developed a presentation on the art and symbolism of gravestones and cemeteries which I give through the city's Community Education system and at genealogy/ family history conferences, and to various historical groups. I also give historical tours of cemeteries in Boise and am a tour guide at the Old Idaho State Penitentiary and the Idaho State History Museum.

I'm happy to edit my entries, but PLEASE have positive proof before submitting them. I've had way too many edits that turn out to be incorrect. Be sure of your information first, please. Before sending me edits, PLEASE MAKE SURE IT'S MY ENTRY. Just because I have a photo on the entry doesn't mean I made the entry.

If requesting a transfer, I will gladly do so if you are immediate family (parents, children, grandchildren). PLEASE PROVIDE THE Findagrave ENTRY NUMBER, not just the name. (Do you realize how many James Smiths there are?) and YOUR F.A.G. member number as well. I allow the use of my photos for personal use only. Not to place on other websites. If you wish to use one of my photos, please ask and I'll send it to you in its original (larger) resolution.

I'm always available to photograph graves in the Boise/Ada County, Idaho and surrounding areas.
