|If you see a memorial you would like removed, please drop me a note. The Pike County Kentucky cemetery readings were done in 1997 and 1998. Many of the photos I've posted were taken when using dry flour was recommended by many as a "safe" way to read and photograph unreadable markers. This is NOT an acceptable practice. Do as I say, not as I did! :-) |
Many but not all of the burials I've posted are my relatives. I did not include all information that I know about certain individuals. I posted the information that was included on the headstones unless otherwise noted.

These are my great grandparents through their son, Leo Dennis. Are you able to take pictures of their markers? I would do this myself but, I live out of state.

Can you tell me where this Scott Cemetery is located in Pike County? So many cemeteries have the same name.

I am pretty confident that this photograph is of William Larkin Lowe born 1840 and died 1923. You can confirm this on ancestry.com

K.H., I believe this may be grandfather. I was born in Tolar, KY and lived there until I was six. How did you come across this info? thanks, Roger

Thank you for posting the beautiful photo of Juanita's grave. The cemetery looks a little overgrown:) Would it be alright with you if I added a copy to my Ancestry.com tree? If OK, I always list photo credits.
