Cemeteries are "a memorial and a record. (They are) not a mere field in which the dead are stowed away unknown; it is a touching and beautiful history, written in family burial plots, in mounded graves, in sculptured and inscribed monuments. (They tell) the story of the past, not of its institutions, or its wars, or its ideas, but of its individual lives,--of its men and women and children, and of its household. (A cemetery) is silent, but eloquent; it is common, but it is unique. We find no such history elsewhere; there are no records in all the wide world in which we can discover so much that is suggestive, so much that is pathetic and impressive." ~~ Joseph Anderson, American clergyman (1836-1916)

Nov 2013: I have limited doing photo requests as it has become increasingly difficult based on many of the local cemetery offices questioning the validity/legitimacy of providing photos online. Contact me if you have a special request.

Did you make these memorials from seeing their actual headstones, a cemetery burial list, or obituaries? I made a photo request for their headstones, and the guy couldn't find the graves. Said they were in the old cemetery. Was wondering if you remembered where they actually were if you saw them. Thank you!
Do you know where Delilah Browns grave is in Cemetery. Can't find her. Thanks

I checked the edit tab and I'm just not sure which choice applies to a transfer. Can you help?

Hello, When ever you get the time, would you please transfer memorial for Lloyd Ripper Ft. Benning, Georgia Post Cemetery, to me, Cheryl Ripper. Thank you
If you call Forest Lawn Cemetery in Richmond Virginia and find the plot of your loved one, I will try and get there. You can just email the info to me.
That cemetery isn't very friendly when it comes to looking up people. Thanks.

You are so right. I read it wrong. I saw the copyright, read the terms, and still was in error. I will respect his work. Thanks again.

Wm Henry Schrader was the father of my uncle, Gerald Groves, (by marriage)first wife, Alice Margaret Schrader. The genealogical info I have for W.H. Schrader is that he married after Alice died to a Laura, from Oregon, and then he died in LA. It doesn't seem likely that he would be brought back to SD to be buried. Do you have his name listed as being buried in Vermillion, SD, where his first wife is buried? If you have any info on his burial, please let me know. If not, would you please adjust his burial to an unknown place in California?
