Born in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. My father was born Crabb in Easton, Maine. His father was born in New Brunswick, Canada. The Crabbs are a Loyalist family coming to what is now New Brunswick from Westchester County, NY at the end of the Revolutionary War.
My mother was a Merrill, the first of our line in Dover, Maine, about 1821, being True Merrill. Our whole line is buried in Pine Grove Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft, Maine.

Hi Duane
bear with us as the snow in the cemetery is still 2 feet. I know where they are. Do you have a genealogy of the Brown family? I am trying to trace my 3rd great grandfather's line, Sampson Burke Brown 1822-1866. He was in the Morristown VT area. any connections? we do not know his parents.
we have a male BROWN that did a Y-DNA test.
Ancestry has a number of people that do not want to say anything and we do not believe them as to parentage. any help??

RE: Kauffman graves
Hello Duane, It was my pleasure....Maybe when the weather gets better, I can try and take better photos...The section that the headstone is in is heavily tree covered and damp which results in the always wet / mossy looking stones....Ed

Hello Duane...The Cemetery looks up burial sections / plots by date of death and not usually by last names...Is they any way you can determine the dates of death for Elmer and Henrietta Kauffman...All the best, Ed McDonough

Holy Cross is HUGE. Impossible to locate a grave without the Burial Plot. Please call the TOLL FREE Phone: (888) 919-7926. Ask for Burial Plot. It is a TOLL FREE call. Please. Volunteers need the Grave Location. The Office will NOT allow us to ask for more than 2. There are over 45 without the Burial Plot.
