|Sheila Robbins||Edna Payne Ferrell d. 1971 in Fairmont Cem. in Raton|
Hello--noticed Edna Payne Ferrell's record at Findagrave was transferred to you. She is in our Ousley/Payne family and we lost touch with Edna and her sister. We know descendants of their brother, Lamont. Do you have any info about her sister, Fern? Thanks!
Mrs. Robertson: Thank you so much for the transfer of Merriah (Maria) C. Fleming Ford (#72657132) buried in Fairmont Cemetery in Colfax County, New Mexico.
I appreciate it so much.

In several messages sent this morning I (apparently incorrectly) assumed, from the specificity of Raton-area memorials you've posted, that you must be a relative. After clicking on your biography, I'm writing to relieve you of that burden :-), but also to thank you for the work you've done. I have only passed through the Raton and Cimarron areas, but my dad (Fred Brooks Jr.) grew up there and attended the NM Military Institute before leaving New Mexico for a naval career. He always spoke of those mountains with great affection, even when retired in the flatlands of urban Massachusetts.
