The living come with grassy tread To read the gravestones on the hill; The graveyard draws the living still, But never anymore the dead. The verses in it say and say: "The ones who living come today To read the stones and go away Tomorrow dead will come to stay." So sure of death the marbles rhyme, Yet can't help marking all the time How no one dead will seem to come. What is it men are shrinking from? It would be easy to be clever And tell the stones: Men hate to die And have stopped dying now forever. I think they would believe the lie. ROBERT FROST | |

 | RE: Baggett Postings I belong to the Minton end of the family and I was completely stumped until I found your post for John H Minton and you mentioned Emma and Nathan that put my gears in motion and if it weren't for you I would never have been able to put all that together. The Dudley cemetery has sunken graves and buried markers and loads of snakes to keep me company so I know what it's like to dig for markers. All that work is much appreciated.Added by Terrie M on Jun 24, 2012 2:22 PM | | | Terrie M
 | Baggett Postings I could never have discovered all I have this morning without your hard work, THANKS!!!! I have a cemetery I've been working on just south of the Hertford County line that is completely overgrown and I appreciate the work you've done to uncover these markers. | RE: Worrock Thanks so much Thanks for the response....Flora E. Worrock (Mar 9, 1874-Jun 6, 1961) is buried in the plot (F-98) next to this one. I didn't know this while I was there. Normally wives are buried in same plot and share a marker but this is not always the case. Could she be his wife? I will go out again in couple days and take this photo.
Jim
