Bio and Links
I was born in Louisiana and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana. My family and I moved to Arkansas in 1981 and have been here since. I served five years in the U.S. Air Force and 30 years with the Federal Aviation Administration. I retired from the F.A.A. in January 2008.

I became addicted to genealogy in 1995 and have compiled vast numbers of data, dates, records, photos and files over the years. My mother, her parents and many other relatives, are buried in Central Cemetery (Baptist Church) near Robeline, Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana. I have photographed Central Cemetery and compiled a book of the tombstones with names, dates, epitaphs, and descriptions for Central Cemetery.

Some of my family names are Edwards from Mississippi to Louisiana, Roberts in Mississippi on my father's side, with McFerrin and Sandifer (from South Carolina to Mississippi then Louisiana), VanVeckhoven (Belgium to Louisiana) and Woodel on my mother's side. I have chased many collateral lines from Louisiana and Mississippi as well.

If we can be of help with Central Arkansas or with Central Baptist Church in Robeline, Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana, feel free to contact us.

RE: Relationship of Ellen Josephine and Willie Elbert Duren
Hi Robert,

I was wondering if there was anyway to fix the calculated relationship between my father, Willie Elbert Duren (31742250) and Ellen Josephine Duren (31742249). Ellen Josephine was the baby daughter of Willie Elbert Duren. The dates are pretty obvious that they were not married but it would be nice if it could be fixed.

Thank you,

Glendia Duren Tucker

Nickname spelled wrong
Darcey Bethany's nickname I spelled wrong. It is Thany not Thaney. My fingers hit too many keys.

Additional info on Darcey Bethany Clark
Aunt Thaney (which is what we called her) had another sister, Nancy Candace Booty Clark born 1878 and died 1900. My grandmother, Sarah Rebecca Booty Funderburk, was the oldest sister. According to Aunt Thaney's tombstone her name is spelled Darcey.

After looking at the card you posted on #152146970, I have added "Confederate Section, Grave #1056" to C. A. Payne's plot information. Also, I have added Company B 29 Georgia Infantry CSA to the info at the top of the bio section of C. A. Payne's online grave.

Thanks so much for sharing this info with me,

I looked at memorial #1056 and that grave belongs to Elizabeth Van Lew.

Grave #75850300 and #152146970 each show different death dates. #75850300's death date is September 18, 1921 and #152146970's death date is January 15, 1926.

I don't think #75850300 and #152146970 are the same person. I will research further.

Thanks so much,

Van Veckhoven family
Hi, my great grandma was a Van Veckhoven, well she went by Vaco, but I was wondering if your email was a good contact still as I have a few questions about her parents that you might have the answers to.
