Hello everybody. First of all, I'm from Butler, Pa. and I'm a baby boomer and recently retired. I'm a product of my generation and I'm a veteran of the US Army having served a year in Vietnam. Agent Orange assassinated my pancreas and I'm a type 1 diabetic because of it. I'm of the Roman Catholic persuasion deeply involved with my church, a member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the VFW, and my politics are libertarian but mostly conservative. I became interested in cemetaries because I love history and love the stories of people. Every grave has a story, to be sure. My main goal in life is to be a burden to as many people as I can. (Did I mention, I've been married to a long suffering woman since 1975? I just did, I guess.) I want to be buried when I die and have an awkwardly shaped tombstone so I can be a burden to the guy who cuts the grass around my grave. The tombstone text is to be printed upside-down so that curiosity seekers will have to struggle to read it. The last line will read, "Made ya look!" De colores!|

Thanks so much for the photo. My family and I walked the cemetery back in September and simply could not find this thing. Admittedly we weren't terribly organized about the search but you would think 4 people would have found it.

Thank you very much for taking their shared headstone photo at Rimersburg Cemetery. Strange there's no birth year on it. I do know Lucille's and have asked the creator to add it.
Read your bio. So sorry that you ended up with health problems giving service to our country. Love your attitude.

I would appreciate whatever photos you could send me. I live in Iowa so it will probably be quite awhile before I will ever be able to visit them myself. You do have my email address correct. Let me know if I can ever return the favor.

|Jack Gilchrist||Barbara Surrena Photo - Thanks|
Thank you for the photo taken of Barbara Jane (Hovis) Surrena in the Clintonville Cemetery in Venango Co., PA.
I also appreciate you looking for any grave marker for her husband Cyrus J. Surrena (b.1856, d.1944). He is reported to be buried there also but perhaps he is in an unmarked grave.
Anyway, I certainly appreciate all your efforts on behalf of these distant relatives of mine.
Thank you so much for taking the photos of my 4th great grandmother and 5th great grandfather. I've been wanting to see their stones for years.
I was wondering you would be willing to email me copies of the photos in a little higher quality and allow me permission to use them in my family history. Findagrave requires the pictures to be at a lower quality.
