Might need to ignore my last request, since 'Robinson' is in the inscription (as follows):
BORN FEB. 9, 1813
In Robinson Co. Tenn.
DIED JULY 13, 1893
In Tyler Texas.
80 Years 5 Mo's
& 4 Days.
I'm not aware of a 'Robinson' County in TN, but maybe there was one at some time, or as was often, the spellings of Robertson & Robinson were mistakenly interchanged.
Thanks anyway... I should have thought that one through before making my request.

RE: William Sherrod Wimberly
Thank you very much.
Would you make one more change, please, and change 'Robinson Cnty' to 'Robertson Cnty'?

RE: Paul James Garber
Dear Mary Beth,

This might sound sort of strange, but I envy you taking a stroll with your husband last evening through the cemetery. I would imagine that it was a lovely evening and cemeteries can be so peaceful. What a nice way to spend time together.

However, I digress - thank you for doing so!

Since receiving your message, I called the Rockport cemetery and confirmed that Paul Garber is not there. Then I talked with the Charlie Marshall Funeral Home who took care of the arrangements and the woman there gave me three people that they have on record as part of the Lamar Cemetery Association. Two of the telephone numbers were disconnected, but I was able to leave a voice message on the third.

I also talked with a librarian at the Aransas County Public Library. She said they do have burial records but they would be older than 2005.

So, if I don't hear back from that person in a day or two, I will drop a letter in the mail to the name and address you provided.

Again, I so appreciate you taking time out to walk the cemetery. This is certainly turning out to be a mystery!

Thank you again -

RE: Paul James Garber
Mary Beth,

You are so very kind to offer to find Paul Garber in the Lamar Cemetery. According to his US Veterans Gravesites record, he should be there. You are right, unfortunately his obituary does not note a burial location. I will be keeping my fingers crossed and am so very appreciative of your help! Thank you -

Paul James Garber
Dear Mary Beth,

I am hoping you might be able to provide me some assistance concerning the Lamar Cemetery.

This morning I created a memorial to Paul James Garber, 129160326, in the Lamar Cemetery. However, I am not able to find any contact information for the cemetery so I can confirm he is actually there. At this time I only have his Veteran's Gravesite record that indicates he is buried in "Lamar Cemetery, Rockport, TX."

If you could provide me with any contact information, I would be most appreciative! Thank you -

A Three in One Thank You

Good Morning Mary Beth,

Thank you, how nice! Three relatives, all members of my Aunt Virginias' Ancestors. Wonderful family history that was unknown by this younger generation. Thank you for locating and creating these three very interesting and detailed Find A Grave Memorials.

Texas was not even a Republic when the Army of Occupation sent young men into battle. The Dedication with Memorial Plaque and inscription is a fitting Tribute at the Cemetery dating back to 1885-1886 for those brave soldiers.

Our Dickinson Family Heritage, that we are Celebrating dates to that period of time when Dr. S.B. Dickinson left Mississippi and served as an Agent for the Texians in the struggle against Mexican Armies.
