Bio and Links
Bio Photo Genealogist and schoolmarm here, living and teaching in the wilds of Las Vegas for the past decade, but recently my husband and I relocated to his native Western Australia. (There are just as many kangaroos and koalas to snuggle as I hoped!)

Most of the Find-a-Grave memorials I've added have been for family members of some sort. If I'm managing the memorial for one of your ancestors who isn't one of my ancestors, I will gladly transfer ownership - just ask.

Sometimes I don't add information because I feel that it needs further verification, but I do try to put all estimates and theories and whatnots in the bio portion of the memorial. Please feel free to nudge me if I haven't written that bio yet!

When not doing genealogy, I enjoy travel in general and cruising specifically; photography; reading funny novels, the Smithsonian magazine, and the New Yorker; writing restaurant reviews and rambling blog posts; trying to cook Indian food; cake decorating; old-style scrapbooking; fumbling with astronomy; exploring the fun side of the everyday world around me; and wishing that our new place here in Oz allowed pets.

RE: Thank you
You are welcome! I am always glad when my grave adds are "found" by kinfolk ... it is why I try to keep adding pages to Find a Grave.

Transfer Please
Shari, I was wondering if you would be willing to transfer Johnathan Stout #14710442 and his wife Margaret Hanna Stout #14710431 to my care. They are my 4th Great Grandparents. I already maintain their son Jeremiah Hanna Stout & his wife Sarah Musten Stout which are in the same cemetery. I would greatly appreciate your consideration of the transfer of Johnathan & Margaret!

If you are directly related to Jonathan and Margaret, I would LOVE to chat further with you about our shared family connections.

Sincerely,
Sherry Stout Deetz

RE: Zoe Ella Lane Simmonds
Shari, Zoe Ella Lane Kraus Simmonds is my 2nd great aunt. She is a sister of my great grandmother, Mary Ida Lane Abbott. The story of Earl is as follows. Earl was born to Emerine Hawkins and Henry Charley Kraus. His mother died shortly after his birth. Henry gave the baby to Aunt Zoe and then moved on to marry my grandmother, Hazel Irene Abbott. Aunt Zoe was married to Dewine at that time. No adoption ever happened and everyone including my grandmother made a promise not to tell anyone that Earl was not Aunt Zoe's. My mother and Earl are half brother and sister. They both were fathered by Henry Charley Kraus. My mom and Earl grew up thinking that they were an only child. It was not until after Aunt Zoe's death and my grandmother telling my mom the truth that they made contact. You can really see the resemblance. Henry fathered several other children with several other wives. The children all got together in their later years and met and corresponded. I think my mom who is 91 is the only one living at this point. Henry was the black sheep of the family. He married and had children and then deserted all but his last wife with two daughters. Aunt Zoe was a dear. She was the only mother that Earl ever knew and he loved her dearly.

I changed the information that I had for Henry Clay Simonds. Don't know where I got the name Howard. Hope this helps answer some of your questions. Patti

Mary Cassidy #14710464
The following sentence in Mary's memorial must have a typo. 1865 should be 1765 to make sense.

Not enough is known of Daniel's age (other than he was born before 1865) to say whether he could be Mary's father.

Regards,
William Brady

Coleman Rials
Hello,

my name is Adoria! I am so excited to finally get a chance to help out. I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know I will do my best to find this Mr. this plot for you. It's been raining here for about a week straight. I was able to go out the find Cryer Cemetery yesterday, but it was too wet! No worries, Mate, I'll keep checking. I have three others to look for there as well!
Have a great day!

Stockman
Hi Shari,

As I was uploading a few photos, I noticed that you appeared to have a bit of interest in the Stockman's in Rapides Parish, Louisiana.

You may know this, but Adrean and Emma Stockman's daughter, Florence, is # 91837091.

The two children she had with James Boyd, of who I am aware, are Theda, who is linked to her mother, and Jimmie Flo, # 28338857.

I requested links from Jimmie to Florence, and from Florence to her parents.

Hope this helps,
Sheila
