Many edits I receive are a copy/paste of info on Ancestry. Sometimes the info is incorrect, even if a dozen trees have the same info it doesn't make it any truer. Just because a Drouin record says 'Mary Merry of Bobtown' it doesn't always mean that the birth, marriage or death happened in Bobtown.

A memorial is complete with the information that is on the headstone.

Some information belongs on an Ancestry family tree, not on a memorial. If there is no date of birth on the stone, it is not necessary to calculate one so that memorials will list in the correct order. I know that many Find A Grave users will not agree.

So if it's not on the headstone, take any information on my memorials with a kilo of salt.

Smith I have many Smith names in my family tree. Often I type S-m-t-i-h and on one hand I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one, but on the other hand Smith can be a difficult name for genealogy research, so I often check Find A Grave for Smtih.

RE: Grave marker Photo
Okay, Thank you. She is a family member. But I do not read French, unfortunately. It makes it so much more difficult when tracing ancestors from French descent. I so much appreciate your time and efforts. Thank you!

RE: Roberts Edits Declined
Thanks for the heads up. One never knows if a stone or a Drouin record is damaged or missing, etc. when relying on a list. I have removed Edward Roberts from Pine Wood Cemetery and will endeavor to locate his final resting place.

Thanks for you help.

Lamoureux Stones
In reply to your message:
"Bonjour/Hello
I recently visited this cemetery and photographed this headstone for a photo request. I have several more photos of Lamoureux names on this stone. If I send you the info, would you like to create the memorials?

The answer is YES.

Roberts Edits Declined
I see that you declined my edits for Thomas Henry Roberts (#162539403) and Adelaide Roberts Kent (#136537426) and was wondering if you could tell me where I have gone wrong in my research. Please let me know if I have made a mistake.

Thank you so much and a special thanks for you contributions to Find-A-Grave.

Grave marker Photo
Thank you for the picture of the grave marker photo. But I don't think you posted the correct marker as the list does not contain the name of Azilda Gendreau (aka sister: Marie Jeanne)

RE: Augustin and Mary Fournier
Thank you for the information, i will check the photo again, and will do some more research on the family. In Ottawa's Notre Dame Cemetery, looking for my great-aunt (maternal) her husband was listed on the headstone but not her, . she is on list of deceased though once i got the burial list apparently when the executor of the plot dies there is no one from the immediate family to look after it and the names are not put on when another member dies. Sad, it makes researching so much harder.

Regards

RE: Augustin and Mary Fournier
Hi, I finally got it to work. I recognize one other name; Oscar Fournier, was on one of the censuses. I do not recognize Helene, there was an Ellen on one of the censuses. Will look into the Brazeau family. See if i can get them on one of the censuses.

Was there any dates on the headstone? You think the parents would have been recognized.

I had placed a call into the cemetery, but they have not responded.

On another note i am still waiting on a picture of my great-aunt headstone, she is in Hawthorne Dale. My message in the Spring was waiting for the snow to go. I have not had any response to them. I will go and check on it. You have been great, would you be able to go that cemetery, her name is Eva Clifford Bromley in lot 58, no. 103. She died in 1928.

Thank you for our efforts and photos it is much appreciated.

I did however notice there is some writing on the other side of the memorial and wondered whether you had also photographed it as well.
