The listing in Springfield Cemetery for my father is incorrect. It shows a middle initial of L, but his middle name was Everett, thus it should be listed as an E as it shows on the grave marker. Thank you for making this correction.

Anything at all really - newspaper articles (obituaries, weddings, funerals, etc.), any certificates. I'm trying to trace this line backwards from a Levant Hewes who died in Clay/Euclid, Onondaga County. He was supposedly born in Springfield, Otsego.

Do you happen to have any documentation on them?
|Alan Anderson||Tate in N Kortright|
I have been seeking info on my grandfather Samuel Tate who was buried in the North Kortright Cemetery in 1957. His name was Samuel Tate. My parents did not place a grave marker (to the knowledge of my sister or me). I have visited the cemetery and been to the town hall seeking to find if there is some record of his plot, He may be buried in his family plot - also marked with a very nice stone for Samuel Tate his father. I have spoken with the Sickler memorial monument people but no luck. Do you have any information or know if the cemetery association, church, or any other persons might have records of where in the cemetery he was interred? Thank you in advance for any response.Sincerely, Alan Anderson

Thank you for creating his memorial. Via the edit function I sent two pieces of information. First, his middle initial of J. Second, the Civil War units he served in. I checked his civil war muster roll information, it matches the information in the obit that you posted to his memorial. That was for service in the 24th NY Cavalry. His pension application listed the 24th and also the 134th NY Volunteer Infantry, which matches his info in the 134th's muster roll.
I do research on the 134th having had an ancestor who served in the unit. I've created a virtual cemetery for the 134th, 351 names and counting.
Thanks again for creating his memorial. Paul Turner
