Bio and Links
Bio Photo Born to southern parents from Alabama and West Florida. My father enlisted in the Navy and we made 8 moves before I was 16yo.

I love to hike. Backpacked the entire AT in 1989.
Met my wife who is from CT while hiking on the AT in 1990.

Now I live with the Yankees in the nutmeg state.
Spend most of my time fixing up my wife's family home built by her GGFather in 1876.

I have also been a Scoutmaster for the BSA here in Connecticut for the past 10 years, which takes a lot of my time too.

None of us are getting out of this alive. It sure has been fun finding out where some of the bodies are buried.

Find A Grave: What a great concept. I have really enjoyed the time I have spent on this site. It's nice to be able to see photos of gravestones that are real and are a memorial to our ancestors.

Thank you so much for the beautiful photo you took of their headstone! I appreciate it very much since I am in Florida I would not likely get up there to get these photos. It is volunteers like you that make researching so much fun!! :)

RE: Nathan and Nancy Shepherd
I am impressed that you thought to bring a tree saw with you when you went there. I've never heard of a Japanese barberry bush myself, I thought it might be a crepe myrtle, which I do know personally is next to impossible to get rid of! You went above and beyond, thank you!

Hi, I wanted to let you know that I made the changes you requested. Thanks so very much and if you would like to have this memorial, just click on the suggestion/correction tab and request the transfer. This person is not one of my family members and I like to see them with family when possible. Have a wonderful day and thank you for contacting me.

I was not sure if you realized there are two parts to the St Mary's cemetery that are a bit of a distance from one another. Do you happen to know which one this should be in?
