Bio and Links
Bio Photo Beth (Jorgensen) Sparrow living in Polk County, Nebraska. Have photos and information on the following surnames: My father's line: Hanks, Fields, Jorgensen, Foster, Lindsay in Nebraska, Illinois, Germany and Denmark.
My mother's line: Seggerman, Regnier, Junker, Michels, Barber, Sickmon in Nebraska and Illinois, Germany, France, and back to England thru Mayflower passengers.

Have photos and some information on my husband's family: His father's line: Sparrow, Foresman, Richart, Hubbard from Illinois and back east. Currently trying to gather records for my husband's Richart line back to the Mayflower.
His mother's line: Patterson, Thompson, Waterman, Smith and Krieg from Illinois and eastern states.
I also have researched my step-mother-in-law's family: Smith, Steward, Flick, Hill, Hughes, Whitacre, Cross and Glass from mainly Illinois, Indiana and east.

Please see my virtual cemeteries for specific relatives in these lines, and please contact me if you are related to any of these families. I like getting in touch with distant cousins.
Let me know if you want me to transfer someone so you can add more info to a relative. If someone is not my relative, I will usually transfer. Please state your relation in your requests for transfer.
Polk county cemetery info came from the cemetery or from the city/cemetery records. Polk county marriage info comes from the clerk's office at the county courthouse.
I am an avid cemetery photographer fulfilling requests in Polk county and trying to photograph all cemeteries in Polk county (where I live).
IF you use my photos in an online tree, PLEASE give credit by saying "courtesy of Beth Sparrow". It's very annoying to see your own photo in an Ancestry tree with no credit given. And you KNOW it's your photo because the bird poop is in the same place.

Add fathers name to Justin Robert Dittmer
Beth, I am Justin Dittmer's grandmother, mother of his father Greg Robert Dittmer. I would like to have Greg Robert Dittmer added as Justin Robert Dittmer father. Also, is it possible to have the obituary also added. Thanks for your help. Bonnie Dittmer.

RE: William Johnson Lindsey
I haven't emailed Sally on the details but Susan Grabek is continuing to uncover descendants of John and Mary Lindsey and I am adding them out our Lindsey tree. One of particular interest is their dau Hannah Ann Lindsey b 1815 who married Johnson McMicken/McMeekin/etc. Johnson's mother was Margaret Johnson who I suspect was a sister or cousin to Mary Lindsey.

After I add the last batch I will make a gedcom for you and Sally.

I was just thinking, I had been searching to see if their graves had been posted. And was thrilled to find them. I added some of the photos that my grandmother Gladys Bell had in her collection. She did an amazing amount of family history.

On her birth certificate and all over records her last name was spelled Wolfe. I noticed that on many of the headstones the name is spelled Wolf, which made if difficult to find this grave.

What would you suggest?

Thanks again.

Beth, I notice there are two pages for Gertrude.
One is as Thelen, the other as Thelen Offe. I
don't know which one is the best to use. Thanks for all you do on Find a Grave. Jeanne W.

William Johnson Lindsey
With a LOT of help from Susan Grabek, an avid Lindsey researcher, we have a high confidence level as to the parents and siblings of William. I have created memorials for them as follows: John Lindsey 146376725, Mary Ann Lindsey Orr nee Johnson? 146377133.

I have linked my Mahala as well as their sons John and David F. to their memorials. Take a look and hopefully you will conclude linking William Johnson Lindsey to them is reasonable.

Susan and I have found much evidence for this family over the last couple of weeks.

Jacob Rupp
We went to search for Jacob's stone at Elmlawn Cemetery. Their records gave a location, but at that spot we only found a stone for Louise Rupp. I took a photo of that but see that there is one already. We did, however, find a stone in another section for Jacob (1853-1944) and Mary (1884-1936) Rupp. Might they be your Jacob's parents? I have photos of their stone in case you want them.
