I would be happy to make any corrections or add additional information to memorials, but only if you use the "edit' button on the memorial in question as it links to the correct memorial. I am unable to make corrections listed in messages, because there is too much room for error.|
Please feel free to use my photos to add to your genealogy trees as I know how much it can help.
also a reminder from FAG concerning transfer requests-
"First, Determine if you really need the memorial transferred to you for management. Transferring of management should only be requested If you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections without having to request management. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request.
Second, Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. "
Please state your relationship when requesting a transfer.

Hi Leigh: You submitted this photo of the headstone which is greatly appreciated. Bessie is my wife's maternal great grandmother as her husband John was the stepfather to my wife's grandfather Howard P. Robinson. My wife was curious if you are related to Bessie ? Thanks again for the great photo. Send you an updated photo after we cleaned the headstone.

I recently copied some pages while at the Great Egg Harbor Historical Society about Samuel Springer. His death was noted as April 11, 1897 at Penns Grove, burial at Lake Park Cemetery, age 67 yrs. Thought you might want it.

Appreciate the transfer. I have updated the information.
Findagrave policy is to use the dates on the tombstone, to prevent duplication and put other dates , names etc, in the bio. This also prevents someone from sending a correction stating the dates don't match the tombstone

In regards to your message about Florence, the Clothier headstone is correct. Wisdom was her name at the time of her death.

You're absolutely right--sorry Leigh. I had written multiple messages to Scott Balyer to get it all corrected, and then summarized in a last message also meant for him, which I unintentionally sent to you, forgetting it was you who had that particular memorial!
Hopefully it'll all get fixed.

I sent the "edit" correction as you requested, but it does not allow an explanation for the reason for the change (Death date on marker should be 1874, not 1871 -- note the wider space after 187 and before the next number).
Proof: "On the 16th inst., Sarah FORD, widow of the late Robert FORD, deceased, aged about 72 years." [“Abstracts of the Deaths and Marriages in the Hightstown Gazette, New Jersey, 4 January 1872-27 December 1877,” page 55, by Richard S. Hutchinson.] Newspaper was dated 23 July 1874.

Thank you very much for posting approval to use your photographs on other genealogy sites. It is very helpful to cite headstones as a source.
