PLEASE use the Edit tab and Suggest a Correction link to add/correct information. I try to get to them within 24 hours of receipt. |
PLEASE use the Edit tab and Suggest a Correction to request a transfer. Please include your relationship. I will not transfer out of guidelines. Please spare me the "I am the family genealogist" and the "I have tons of information to add" stories. Use the edit system. Too many people have requested out-of-guidelines transfers and then never added so much as a comma to the memorial. Requests for bulk transfers will be summarily ignored.
I WILL NOT link to a "burial unknown". This IS a grave registration site.
If I do not maintain the memorial, but add a picture, PLEASE check the photo caption for the inscription.
My love of old cemeteries is genetic from my dad. I try to take pictures of the fallen/damaged markers first as they might end up "behind the shed" or "over the wall" by the next time I get there.
Sources for additional memorial information include:

For the longest time I could not find them, despite searches all over the place (before Find A Grave) I searched Goshen and Middlefield in person looking for existing stones. I am going to rephotograph the whole family on the next bright sunny day. I can't express how happy these transfers make me, very much appreciated! Jim

Thank you so much for these transfers, they are very special to me, my step-dad and his siblings (11 of them!) I made the breakthrough on their paternal line 20 years ago and have done a lot of work with german parish registers tracing the lines further. I can't wait to add more of my research to their memorials. You made my day!! Jim

Thank you for adding the information. I deleted the memorial I had.

Thanks much for the edit and bringing the corbin discrepancy to my attention. I found her birth, marriage and Obit and they all list "C." so I changed it (again lol). I further developed the memorials so they now look much more complete. It is always so great to hear from you, and if by chance you find I manage any of your relations don't hesitate to let me know! Jim
Just wanted you to know that your efforts may stay silent for a number of years and then someone like me finds a connection. Thanks for all your efforts; muck appreciated.
thanks for the updates, appreciate the info

As I do so much and as being a cousin of his, I do more genealogy, than he ever has time, as he has been having health issues. I knew his mother's grandparents as they used to live in Roslindale as I did at one time. I have done much more on the family tree, as he doesn't have the patience. He has only done 4 Find A Grave pages and you can see by the dates.
I added the MA. Death record for Patty , it coincides with the marker, TY P.K.

Is this the normal procedure for "removing" them to another cemetery do you know? Or is this specifically done in defunct cemeteries. I do a lot of transcribing and run across this a lot, however I usually don't add them into the cemetery I am transcribing. Most of the time they have already been memorialized at the "new location". Thanks for the information.
