I'm a native of Logan County Kentucky and Amateur genealogist and historic site conservationist. Gravestone preservation and repairs are among my interests. Also photography and natural landscapes.
Please if you are a family member of a person I have created a memorial for, simply request me and I'll gladly transfer the memorial with photos. As usual all my photos are copy written so proper requests do apply as per the rules of Find a Grave.
Also PHOTOS: Please assume all my photos are copywriter privileged and ask me for your copy for personal family use only.
No dart boards made from my photos please.
Reclaiming abandoned Graveyards I have experience with. Archeological issues can arise, detail is important from first site to attempting to clean a stone to read it. Document everything.
If ever a question on something call the local historical society before acting.
Remember laws pertaining to visiting a graveyard and land owners property, vary State to state.
For safety sake, before waking onto someones property call upon the land owner before encroaching upon the property to see if it is the grave of a family member. Some land owners are very touchy about people hanging out on there property.
Rural Grave yards are a safety hazard, be careful.
Go with a friend, and a phone with a camera. Documentation.
I now reside in Franklin County, Va.

|J. N. Holt||Wilkins Ancestors???|
Do you happen to know where your earliest Wilkins ancestor is from? My maternal grandmother's maiden name was Wilkins. My earliest Wilkins ancestor was a man named John Wilkins. He was born in Northumberland Co., VA in 1741 and died in Stokes Co., NC in 1838.

If you want me to transfer Bob to you let me know as I'm not related.

Thank you for your kind offer but I'm not looking for any more memorials. I was just enjoying the day and sharing additional information as I found it.
Have a great week, your friend Samantha :)

Your Welcome. Take care
|Wallace Guerrant Jr||RE: GPS on Robert Miller|
Hi David. I can't say that I know Robert Miller but my parents might. Since I am a "Junior", my Dad is also Wallace B. Guerrant, Sr. And I have a son who is Wallace B. Guerrant, III. I know...rather confusing. I can't imagine why people name their children after themselves. haha Anyway, I suspect that my father is the one you remember from your days in Winchester/Trapp. So, let me give you his contact info: Wallace and Lana Guerrant, 21 Valentine Court, Winchester, KY 40391 ph: 859-745-1284 If they don't know Robert Miller, then they might know another person in the Miller family and refer you on like I'm doing. Regards, wbg
|Silbert Hartis||Chapman Family|
I remember you asking about if I ever saw any Chapman's. What name were you looking for. I found several in Little Muddy Cemetery in Butler Co Ky
|Cynthia Boatright Raleigh||RE: Joel D. Fleming|
Thanks, I will do that. I subscribe to the Logan County newsletter that Judy Lynne sends out, so I have her email. I live in Evansville, so I'm not too far away from there and am hoping to make a visit to Logan County in the next couple of months.

You are very welcome. I'm sorry he died young; from the obituary, it looked like he enjoyed family and fun. I see you are from Logan County....I have ancestors who lived in Logan County (some stayed, some moved on). Anywhere you know of to find history or information on the Mosley Pond area? I have a couple of people I'm stumped on. Thanks! Cynthia
|Tony Bryant||RE: Thomas Potts|
I'll keep a look out when I'm up there again. I usually take photos of any stones carring my family names, Bryant, Wilkins, Davis, but there are a lot of churches in the Neck. Tony

David, This cemetery is a black cemetery that is about 1/2 mile out of the small town of Horse Head VA in Northumberland County. I do have other names that I will be adding to this cemetery in the very near future. I was not sure of the exact location so I contacted the funeral home mentioned in the obit. The owner has agreed to take me out to the cemetery so I can get photos. I will not be able to do this until next week, I am from that area but I now live about 2 hours away. I do still have a home there and I try to get back as often as I can. I will keep you updated when I find out anything more. Marsha
