I volunteer as a Board of Directors member and Archivist for the Pennington Research Association. Right now I volunteer as the Pennington Pedigrees Editor. I am involved in much Pennington activity whether they are my direct line or not. Our family is officially Group 6 of this wonderful genealogy site.

I also serve as a Board of Director for the Eureka Historical Society and try to stay involved in my local community.

I've entered various kinds of cemetery records here at

1) My own family members, if I know what cemetery they have been buried.

2) Photographed many, many cemeteries in the Readington Twp., Hunterdon Co., NJ area.

3) Various cemetery records that I have access to books for all US States.

4) I am just about finished with photographing the cemetery in Wanette, Oklahoma. There are about 10% unphotographed and have to figure out which section that I missed. This is my hometown cemetery so its especially dear to me.

5) Starting to photograph more cemeteries in the Eureka, St. Louis Co., MO area...but I've been slow at this. The Franklin Co., MO Cemetery Society pretty much has this area covered. Their contact information is

I have an interest in all tombstones of service men and women. Especially the ones that mention the Revolutionary and Civil War.

I research many surnames, such as: Adkins, Akins, Armitage, Cullins, Elms, Harding, Kirkpatrick, Pennington, Pitts, Redford, Thomas, Whiteaker, Woodrome/Woodrum, Wilson, etc.

If you find any errors or would like to have additional information posted to any records that I have added, please contact me and I'll make those changes for you.

I have no problem with transferring ownership of a memorial that I have created. Just ask and it is yours.

You have my permission to use any of the photographs that I take for your genealogy family history. No need to ask, this statement is all that you need. If you list me as the source for the photo, just source me as Mindy.

Please do not be offended of headstone photo's that I took. I think the persons would rather be remembered than told to remove and forget. Its not my intention to hurt or offend. You do not know what is in my heart, please don't assume.

Cottrell family relationships/Wanette, Oklahoma, cemetary.
How are you? I am so glad to see the work that you have been doing in categorizing the Wanette cemetary. My mother's father, Owen Horace "Tobe" Cottrell , was the caretaker of the property for several decades through the 40s and 50s. I have edited several of the records posted on individual Cottrell family members in an effort to assist in clarifying names and relationships within my grandfather's immediate family. This includes lineage, spouses and nicknames where applicable. Thank you again for the work you are doing. This is giving me a great starting point from which to research my mother's side of the family.

I took the very great liberty of suggesting to JLC that the duplicate #88479262 should be transferred to you & that you might add Page as last name, since that would appear to follow guidelines. If this doesn't work for you, let me know. Deanna

Andrew Burl Davenport #12140564
Mindy--Your memorial page says Burl is buried next to Edwin Davenport. Do you know who this is & how they were related? Just thought I'd ask. Also wondering if the Wanette Cemetery has burial records & whether there is a local historical society? I figure you know everything, thanks again. Deanna.

Your memorial is a duplicate of #27556470. His death certificate shows the Dixie Cemetery.

RE: Wm Leon Atchley # 18895425
The ID left to rt: Leon, Zelma, Gladys, & Russell. Gen took this pic. If the caption is unclear please correct. I do love having photos posted to remind us these were people. They were not just graves. I have been trying to figure out where Genevieve Atchley & her husband Russell Cossey are buried. They have to be in San Joaquin County CA but I can't locate them.

Thank you! (C.W. Reed)
Hi Mindy,

I just wanted to send you a huge thank you for the work that you've done on Find a Grave. One of the photos that you've taken is for my (suspected - still waiting to 100% prove it) 4th Great-Grandfather. You took the picture in 2007 and I recently visited his grave last month. The only way I recognized the headstone was your picture - the stone is almost completely blank now from rain and damage. If you hadn't taken the photo when you did, there would be zero way of identifying it.

So thank you! Your efforts are appreciated more than you know!
