When entering a record or photo, I try to dig a little deeper. I look up census data, SSDI records, obituaries, and military records for every record I touch. I try to link family members when I find them, and although that slows me down considerably, my main goal is accuracy, not volume. I love the hunt!
CORRECTIONS: My philosophy of this web site is that if you originate a record, it is your DUTY to make corrections that are provided to you, and I will ALWAYS make corrections to records that I start in a timely fashion. Never fear! Please use the EDIT button on the record, rather than leaving a correction request on my message wall, please.
On that point, PLEASE INCLUDE SUPPORTING SOURCE DATA FOR CORRECTION REQUESTS. Although I love to link families together and add maiden names, etc., it is important that these additions be accurate! Just like our teachers taught us in math class ... SHOW YOUR WORK!!!
I am frustrated by people who have abandoned records, and wish F.A.G. would address the problem of records that are being held "hostage" by non-responsive record owners. The deceased, their ancestors, and especially their descendants deserve better.
TRANSFERS: I don't mean to sound harsh, but please don't ask me to transfer distant relations. F.A.G. policy states, "Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request." I worked hard for my records, and I care about them. I will promptly make any corrections or links that need to be made. I have seen too many people who ignore correction requests to ever become one of them. I make corrections as soon as I get them!
PHOTOS: If you find one of my records without a photo, please contact me before submitting a photo request. Chances are very good that I have the photo, but am backlogged in getting them attached to records. I'd be happy to jump ahead if I know it will help someone! Also, please ask me before using my photos. I always say yes, but it is nice to be asked.
Happy Searching, Everyone! | |

 | William Hill Fulper (St. Magdalen) Thank you for your message and photo. The day I took the photo, there was ice on Mr. Fulper's headstone and I could not completely make out the year of death.
Thanks again, SidAdded by sid on Jun 15, 2013 6:48 AM | | | Jessi-Schnittchen
 | RE: Kondrk - St. Magdalen's I love the pictures - they look great. I wish everyone here would post only such perfect pics where you can see the whole stone and is not cutting off part of it ;) Good job! Jess | | | John L. Nelson
 | Ruth Frankenfield Hi Ellen, I have added Ruth's maiden name of Hillpot and removed the middle inital. Thanks for the info. John L. Nelson | | | Buckshot
 | Valentina Weiss Hi Ellen, I made the links as you have suggested. Thank you for pointing them out to me. I don't know why I never thought of linking them, but I should have. Would you be kind enough to transfer Gladys Weiss to me, as that is my aunt. She is my mother's older sister. Sincerely, Jim B.Added by Buckshot on Jun 12, 2013 2:27 PM | | | Sándor Gócza

 | Sell's of Doylestown Cemetery Hi Ellen,
I spoke to the Doylestown Cemetery a few minutes ago. The gentleman I spoke with remembers the Sell's and said that Marilyn, to his knowledge, is not deceased and definitely is not buried in the cemetery.
Also, son, William Robert Sell, is not buried in the Doylestown Cemetery, but somewhere in CO, even though his information is inscribed on the bench.

 | Sell's of Doylestown Cemetery Hi Ellen,
I've put a call into the cemetery office to see if Marilyn Fye Sell is deceased, since I've not found any information to that fact. When I hear something, I will let you know. Also, I added the marriage article for William & Marilyn.
You mentioned an obituary for son, William. If you have access to the obituary for dad, William. and son, William, you would please e-mail them to me.
Thanks, LindaAdded by Linda on Jun 07, 2013 9:13 AM | | | | [View all messages...] |
