I volunteer as a Board of Directors member and Archivist for the Pennington Research Association. Right now I volunteer as the Pennington Pedigrees Editor. I am involved in much Pennington activity whether they are my direct line or not. Our family is officially Group 6 of this wonderful genealogy site.

I also serve as a Board of Director for the Eureka Historical Society and try to stay involved in my local community.

I've entered various kinds of cemetery records here at

1) My own family members, if I know what cemetery they have been buried.

2) Photographed many, many cemeteries in the Readington Twp., Hunterdon Co., NJ area.

3) Various cemetery records that I have access to books for all US States.

4) I am just about finished with photographing the cemetery in Wanette, Oklahoma. There are about 10% unphotographed and have to figure out which section that I missed. This is my hometown cemetery so its especially dear to me.

5) Starting to photograph more cemeteries in the Eureka, St. Louis Co., MO area...but I've been slow at this. The Franklin Co., MO Cemetery Society pretty much has this area covered. Their contact information is

I have an interest in all tombstones of service men and women. Especially the ones that mention the Revolutionary and Civil War.

I research many surnames, such as: Adkins, Akins, Armitage, Cullins, Elms, Harding, Kirkpatrick, Pennington, Pitts, Redford, Thomas, Whiteaker, Woodrome/Woodrum, Wilson, etc.

If you find any errors or would like to have additional information posted to any records that I have added, please contact me and I'll make those changes for you.

I have no problem with transferring ownership of a memorial that I have created. Just ask and it is yours.

You have my permission to use any of the photographs that I take for your genealogy family history. No need to ask, this statement is all that you need. If you list me as the source for the photo, just source me as Mindy.

Please do not be offended of headstone photo's that I took. I think the persons would rather be remembered than told to remove and forget. Its not my intention to hurt or offend. You do not know what is in my heart, please don't assume.

Lettice Cornelius

I sending this for your review. It is, I believe, about William Asbury Walker, son Isaac B. Walker and Lettice Cornelius.

"W. A. WALKER. junior of the mercantile firm of Thompson & Walker, dealers in groceries, grain. hay, harness and saddlery, at Whitesboro, Texas, was born in Grayson county, April 10, 1849 and is a son of Isaac B. and Lettie Walker, the former of whom was a native of Illinois, was a Methodist Episcopal preacher and for many years a member of the Texan conference. His death took place in 1857, and that of his wife, who was also a native of Illinois, took place in 1859.

W. A. Walker, the younger of two children (the other being Richard B.), has always lived in his native county of Grayson, Texas. His earlier years were passed in stock driving and dealing, and farming. In 1885 he entered into the business mentioned at the opening of this sketch, and it may well be said that he has made a thorough success of it. A practical and shrewd businessman, he has watched every opportunity that pointed toward business prosperity and has never failed to avail himself of it.

In 1869 Mr. Walker married Miss Nancy J. Viars, and this union has been blessed by the birth of five children, namely-Mary L., Nora, Ethel, Alphia and Willie. Mr. Walker, outside of his mercantile interests, has a fine farm of 427 acres in Grayson county, which is well cultivated. The gentleman is highly popular, and although seeking no public office, always takes an active part in political affairs, voting the democratic ticket. He is now vice-grand in the I. 0. 0. F., and is a member of the encampment, K. of H. In religion he is a Methodist, belonging to the Methodist Episcopal church South."

Hi Mindy,
I was wondering if you knew anything about Harvey Beasley or Jackie buried next to him. He may have been a missing relative of mine. Thank you

Yes - I am the one that posted to genforum #1419.

I do know that Lettice, d/o Jesse, married Isaac Walker per Blount Co., AL records.

I found Isaac Walker with a wife named "L" living in the Peters Colony (1850 Grayson Co., TX census) in NE Texas. I cannot prove this is the correct couple, but I believe the circumstantial evidence suggests "L"
was the d/o Jesse. The fact that a child named Jesse C. (Cornelius) Walker strongly suggests this is the correct couple.

After the 1850 census it gets little murky. In 1860 Alitha Walker, who I believe to be a second wife of Isaac - but cannot prove it) shows in the 1860 Grayson Co census with son Jesse. Obviously Isaac had passed before 1860.
Did Lettice pass between 1850 and 1860. My guess is she did and Jacob remarried.

I wish I could say definitely that my posting was totally correct.

Hi Mindy.

I sent you a msg last month about memorial # 19168970.

I received a response but I was hoping I could find out more info on where the grave is.

Is there any other info you can send me about this? Maybe where I can look to give me a better idea?

Thank you so much. I really appreciate it!

RE: Hunterdon Co NJ Cem
Thank you for your quick reply, Mindy.

The memorial # is 19168970.

This is the grave for my g/f's father. She told me that his headstone was taken years ago and she doesn't know where he is buried.

I wanted to know if you can give me any info about where the grave may be so that I can go there with her for Christmas.
