I've been researching my families for over 30 years. Currently, I'm trying to scan & share a large collection of old family photographs and documents that have come to me from various relatives, mostly my late grandmother.|
As I scan & prepare the photographs, I'm trying to post as many as possible to findagrave for others to enjoy. Especially the very old ones. Some that are labeled are not of known family connections so I'm also researching the names in an attempt to identify them.
One that I am very proud of is Jesse Elton McEwen, buried at Palms Woodland Cemetery, Miami-Dade Co FL. It took a fair amount of research to figure out that he is probably not related, but simply a neighbor of an ancestor in Carroll Co GA. I've created a memorial for him with the information I collected. Please visit his site and show him some love.
Another memorial that I'm very proud of is for my ancestor, William Francis Marion Nobles, who died as a prisoner of war at Camp Douglas IL. His final resting place is Oak Woods Cemetery, Chicago, Cook Co IL. Please visit him also.
I hope you enjoy visiting my paternal great grandfather, Hilborn Whit Hulsey. My maternal grandfather, Rev Virgil Sizemore, preached his funeral before there was a family connection. My parents were only 10 years old and I don't think they met until a few years later. If you know any of the people mentioned that aren't linked, please let me know.
Surnames I'm connected to include: Ashworth, Barnett, Beam, Black, Burks, Cates, Clore, Crow, Dickson, Dunson, Gilbert, Hendrix, Hulsey, Leathers, Lowe, Lyle, McBrayer, McGlathery, Meadors, Mobley, Mote/Motte, Nobles, Pate, Parr, Pinson, Reid, Sanders, Sizemore, Stanford, Steele, Stephens, Tomme, Vining, Waldrop, Williams, and others.
Places I'm particularly connected to include: Laurens Co SC, Henry & Clayton Co GA, Carroll & Haralson Co GA, and Blount & Cullman Co AL.

|Kitty Walker Lennard||RE: Thomas G Waldrop # 13405866|
The request I received was to change his name from Waldrop to Waldrup. I will not change spelling of his name. If I have him linked then I received request to link him from someone.
If You want him linked tohis Mother , Send Me an edit to link him to Mother and not to change spelling from Waldrop to Waldrup.
|Robert M. Wilson||Thank you|
Wanted to thank you for the edits you sent me awhile back :).
|John Mallory Land||SIZEMORE deed|
Hi, Debbie - Good to hear from you. I cannot find in my files an electronic copy of a transcription or abstract of the deed in question, and I'm pretty sure I have never scanned any of those Barnwell District deeds. I will have to go into my hardcopy files and pull it out to scan (long ago I obtained a copy of the index to deeds showing all the early SIZEMORE entries, and then obtained copies of all those deeds). It will take me a couple of days to put my hands on it, but I will get you a scan as soon as I can. As I recall, Mary SIZEMORE, "in consideration of the love and affection I hold toward my grandson, George SIZEMORE," gave to him a tract of land in South Carolina. By process of elimination, I deduced that it has to be my George Washington SIZEMORE (born 1791), who married Rhoda UNKNOWN. I'll send it as soon as I can.
|Mary Enzor Smith||Nilma Jean Rodgers|
Debbie, I changed the typo error to Ms. for Nilma Rodgers. Thanks for calling this to my attention. It is so important for our memorials to have the most correct information.
My great grandmother was Charity Julia Ann Hulsey, daughter of Hilburn Quincy Hulsey, son of Kenion Tarpley Hulsey.
How are you related?

|Lynda McELhaney Balch||Joseph Gray Clower 1890-1905|
There is a listing for Ellen Turnipseed Clower that you maintain now since the contributor has passed away. She is linked to a Joseph Gray Clower whose dates cannot be correct if this is her spouse. He is shown as being born in 1890 and passing away in 1905. I think the dates are wrong or the link is wrong since the parents of Joseph Gray Clower were Simeon Clower and Martha Gray plus I show that Ellen's husband was buried in another cemetery - Woodlawn National Cemetery. If this is the son of David William Clower (and Sallie Springer) the son of Joseph Gray Clower of 1830's, perhaps this could be Jospeh Gray Clower born 17 November 1890 and died 12 Sept 1905.
Is there anyway that you could clarify this? It would shed new light on our research if the elder Joseph was actually buried somewhere other than Woodlawn National Cemetery.
|Milton Wayne Lemons [ Hawkins ]||Re: Leland Schiller Dickson # 128241410|
I'm Milton Wayne Hawkins ( # 48289279 ). I have sponsored Leland Schiller Dickson. He is closely and directly related to my Step-father & thus to me; both pioneer families are now deceased. I spent many summers with him in Marathon, Texas & recall attending his funeral. Again, his name is LeLAND SCHILLER DICKSON ( # 128241410 ). I would be most grateful if you would be kind enough to consider transferring his memorial to my safe keeping and for accurate updating. Thanking you in advance, I remain, Milton Hawkins email@example.com
|Traci's Mom||Token you left for Traci Fields|
Because of you and other wonderful findagrave friends, Traci now has 5,673 flowers/tokens, and her birthday is still almost 3 weeks away. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! We appreciate you so much.
I'm in awe! To show you more of what Traci was like, I posted the following on her memorial page,
"Traci, my angel, I can see the big grin on your face for all the flowers you're receiving on your memorial page. You're telling me, "Mom, why are you so surprised there are so many good people in this world? You should have known that....." "You're right, sweetheart, I should have known".
Traci was a person of strong faith, and GOD took excellent care of her, and helped her through all her hardships! Her faith never waivered.
We've received an outpouring of so much love for Traci. You are all a blessing.
Sharon (Traci's mom)
