Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been researching my families for over 30 years. Currently, I'm trying to scan & share a large collection of old family photographs and documents that have come to me from various relatives, mostly my late grandmother.

As I scan & prepare the photographs, I'm trying to post as many as possible to findagrave for others to enjoy. Especially the very old ones. Some that are labeled are not of known family connections so I'm also researching the names in an attempt to identify them.

One that I am very proud of is Jesse Elton McEwen, buried at Palms Woodland Cemetery, Miami-Dade Co FL. It took a fair amount of research to figure out that he is probably not related, but simply a neighbor of an ancestor in Carroll Co GA. I've created a memorial for him with the information I collected. Please visit his site and show him some love.

Another memorial that I'm very proud of is for my ancestor, William Francis Marion Nobles, who died as a prisoner of war at Camp Douglas IL. His final resting place is Oak Woods Cemetery, Chicago, Cook Co IL. Please visit him also.

I hope you enjoy visiting my paternal great grandfather, Hilborn Whit Hulsey. My maternal grandfather, Rev Virgil Sizemore, preached his funeral before there was a family connection. My parents were only 10 years old and I don't think they met until a few years later. If you know any of the people mentioned that aren't linked, please let me know.

Surnames I'm connected to include: Adair, Ashworth, Barnett, Beam, Black, Burks, Cates, Clore, Crow, Dickson, Dunson, Gilbert, Hendrix, Hulsey, Leathers, Lowe, Lyle, McBrayer, McGlathery, Meadors, Mobley, Mote/Motte, Nobles, Pate, Parr, Pinson, Reid, Sanders, Sizemore, Stanford, Steele, Stephens, Tomme, Vining, Waldrop, Williams, and others.

Places I'm particularly connected to include: Laurens Co SC, Henry & Clayton Co GA, Carroll & Haralson Co GA, and Blount & Cullman Co AL.

RE: John R Wheeler Bogue
DEBBIE 19 NOV 2015:

Hi Kati,

I found info on Maggie's twin and have added a memorial for him in the same cemetery. He died in 1905 at age 16.

Are you descended from this family?

KATI 20 NOV 2015:

Hi Debbie,

The Bogue children are the younger half-siblings of my Lampton cousins. The previously widowed mother of all of them was Lydia Ann (nee Hopkins) Lampton Bogue, who had three sons with her first husband Marcus Tullius Cicero Lampton (all are my maternal cousins) and five daughters and two sons with her second husband Moses Henry Bogue (none are related to me). All are in my family tree at Ancestry though.

MANY THANKS for finding John's obituary. He appears as "Wheeler J. Bogue" on the 1900 census and all the other researchers at Ancestry have him posted that way as I did. I've updated him in my tree and included his obituary specifically giving you credit for your research and help. You've been a Godsend to our family trees!

With heartfelt thanks,

DEBBIE 19 NOV 2015:

I wanted to let you know that I have added and linked a memorial for daughter, Maggie Lee, who was apparently a twin to Wheeler mentioned in the bio section. I found her obituary in the Cullman Tribune and have typed it in the bio. It mentions that her twin brother now sleeps alone.

Best regards,

KATI 19 NOV 2015:

He has been transferred to you. If you have any information on anyone else that you would like for me to add, please free to send it to me.

RE: Lessie Barnett
Added her husband. Thanks for the info!

I've run into the same issues as you did with the system treating it as a duplicate. I figured out you can go into your Edits tab and delete the original request, then resubmit it with both the parents and spouse listed.

RE: Hulsey
She went by her middle name Louise. She was my grandpa's younger sister. I miss her very much.

RE: Margaret Louise Campbell Hulsey
I checked my notes and I don't see it. My mother talks to their son regularly. I'll check with her. I have a picture of Louise at my wedding I would like to add to her memorial if that's ok with you.

Hulsey line
Hey Debbie,

Wanted to ask you, if you wanted control over my Hulsey family that I have on this site in my name, I am trying to decide whom would benefit more with them and thought of you, I am only keeping my mother and dad's close line, because of the hateful treatment of find a grave people...I thought about just deleting all of them, however, thought of other's whom would want to see there ancestors stone and the like, so transferring is better

Hubert and Lillian Whaley Grave Markers
Hi Debbie,

I was in Hanceville and Cullman 22-26 of October,
and visited the Fairview cemetery while there.
I have added pictures for both Charles Hubert and
Lillian Smith Whaley. I noticed on the large
marker for them that Charles has the "Mason"
symbol above his name, and that Lillian had the
"Eastern Star" symbol above hers. I noted on her
memorial for her that she was a member of that
organization. I thought you might like to do the
same for Charles. Enjoy the pictures.
