|FloridaJoe||Elizabeth "Betsy" Younger Anderson-Andrews|
Greetings. Thanks for leaving the memorial. I am curious about the Andrews connection. She is my third great grandmother.
Hey your welcome
|scott dawsey||John A Harland|
1st Corp. Co. K. 2nd Regt.Mississippi Inf.
I am doing a survey of Confederate soldiers from the Franklin Co. Alabama area, Franklin Co. split
off after the war and formed Colbert Co. Alabama
there were 4 Harland's in the 2nd Ms. Inf. the rest are buried here in Colbert Co. 2 at Riverton
and one at Cherokee. I show John A. Harland in the
1850 census with a birth of 1838 b/ Franklin Co.
he had another brother with the birth same year so the 1840 may be a good birth date, in the U.S. Federal Census. Mortality
Sch. I have a John A. Harland b/ abt. 1840 Ms.
I believe this to be a mistake should have been
born Alabama died Jan. 1880 Carroll Co. Mississippi. This would be our man.
Tuscumbia Colbert Co. Alabama
|Faye Caldwell||RE: Kent Cemetery # 1|
I have a list of 17 names for Kent #1, but have only pictures of 1 grave. The pictures for Kent Cemetery II on Find a Grave look like the same vegetation type found at Kent # 1. I have no landmarks to share for locating Kent II. I'm Sorry.
|Faye Caldwell||Kent Cemetery # 1|
The location of Kent Cemetery # 1 is about 7.6 miles north of Carrollton courthouse on west side of Hwy. 35, on property owned by Gordon C. (Mike) Beckwith. In wooded area about 150 yards off road.
It was the summer of 2000 that I was there. There may/probably have been changes in the ownership of the property.
If I can assist in any other way I will be happy to try.
Thanks for putting up the photos of the grave markers for Marvin & Sue Kirk.
|Forever loved: Beatrice||John K. Allenn|
Thank you. Hope for the dates and the pictures.
Is John K. Allen a relative? If so I would be happy to transfer him to you and then you could add what you like.
