I'm a California girl who grew up in Marin County. Moved to Solano County in 1997. Researching family since the 1970s and as of 2013, have over 101,000 family ties. Two Mayflower Pilgrim ancestors - Richard Warren and Francis Eaton among that number.
Started taking photos of tombstones for Find-A-Grave as a Thanksgiving 2008 project that turned out to be more involved than first envisioned! Started with 120 names, but quickly grew to more than 2,500 in just one cemetery!
Have had a love affair with cats all my life. This is Simba, which means Lion. As a kitten he looked just like Simba from Lion King, hence that is how he got his name. He's now a diabetic and he walks on his elbows on his hind legs. Comic relief to see him waddle! Went through a couple of wars with the neighborhood cats, both of which he lost, but he's a survivor anyway. Loveable and loves us to death. | |

 | RE: Nicholas Edred - Fort Hill There is no marker for Nicholas. In the photo, I put flowers where the headstone would have been based on the location of others.

 | Thomas Grunendike Hi Christie, I know they are unreadable cause I tried my best to read them. They don't have an office ... and I'm 400 miles away so I don't have anyway at this time to find out... I also don't know anything about the family at all. Sorry. :-) | | | Shirley Wadell
 | Ralph Gene Hostetter Yes, it sounds great. One thing though, my last name is spelled Wadell, not Waddell. Sorry. Actually there is a difference. My husband's family Wadell is from German just 200 years ago and the other Waddells are from a completely different family. I appreciate your help and time in this matter. If you come across anything else, let me know. Shirley :) | | | Shirley Wadell
 | Patricia 'Kieffer' Hostetter Ralph's adopted parents are Earl Andrew Hostetter buried at Switz City Cemetery, Greene, IN; FINDAGRAVE Memorial #13811783 [he worked for the railroad and was the one who found Ralph] and Ruth Page [Earl's 2nd wife] buried at Fairview Cemetery at Greene, IN; FINDAGRAVE Memorial #18343592. I spoke with Ralph's daughter, Kathy, just briefly a few weeks ago, and she said that Earl worked for the railroad and found Ralph on the platform. I didn't ask any further questions at that time. She lives in Florida, I live in Missouri. Go ahead and post Ralph's adopted parents on FINDAGRAVE. It would help any others working on this branch. Thank you for posting all this information on FINDAGRAVE. Shirley :) | | | | [View all messages...] |
