|Leslie E||David & Rachel Garfinkel Headstones|
Thank you so very much for posting the pictures of the Hebrew text on the headstones of David and Rachel Garfinkel at Mt. Carmel. The text is very helpful for doing research on family history as it states David and Rachel's father's names. I very much appreciate your effort.

|Leslie E||Question on Headstones|
What a wonderful Eagle Scout Project at Mt Carmel Cemetery. I believe two of the headstones to be my relatives: David Garfinkel (#61490702) and Rachel Garfinkel (61490705). Would you happen to know if there were inscriptions on the other side of the headstones? Typically, headstones for Jewish individuals of that era had some Hebrew text often denoting the first name of the father of the deceased individual.

Thank you so much. The 2nd photo should enable me to visit their graves when I am in the area on the 26th. I am so pleased to get the photos. When I post them to their memorials, I will note they are courtesy of you.

I see you have worked in Mt Carmel for an Eagle Scout project. Thank you for your community service. My brother Bruce was an Eagle Scout, too. My paternal grandfather, Max Harry Bunting, and his 2nd wife, Leah Dash Bunting, are buried at Mt Carmel, according to the JewishGen web site. That web site gives the locations of their graves as -
Max Bunting-Section H,Lot 91,Grave 3
Leah Bunting-Hyman A,Section A,Line 2,Grave 1.
They are on Find A Grave as -
I recently spoke with the current Mt Carmel owner, but he could give me no idea of how to find these grave locations. I know Max is there because Leah took me to visit his grave back in the 1960s. Can you give me any help with this? I will be in the area September 26th with cousins from CA to visit family graves in several Phila cemeteries. I live in Hershey, so a day trip to Phila is doable if I could get some help to locate/visit/photograph these family graves. My regular email is firstname.lastname@example.org if you prefer to use that. I will greatly appreciate any help you can give. Thank you.

Hi, you added a burial record for my great-great-grandfather Harris Schwartz (#61493084) at Mount Carmel. We went by today but weren't able to find him. Do you remember where exactly his plot is at the cemetery?

Hi. This is my grandmother, Betty Batt Weinstein's marker. I have created a new entry for her so this one can be removed. Thanks so much!
