Bio and Links
Bio Photo Let me start by saying, People that send me 300+ edits just because you are bored and have nothing else to do will be ignored. There is nothing wrong with the names I have added. Please find another hobby.
I take pictures of every stone in the cemetery. Therefore I have no way of knowing if the person is still living. I mean no disrespect by adding them.

Everyone deserves to be recognized with a memorial. Please keep in mind that deaths are public record. Cemeteries are also public.
I will be more than happy to add family links. Please just send request through the edit on each memorial, instead of asking for transfers.

Findagrave is doing a great service for us and I appreciate it. So please, remember that we are all in this for the same reason. To help others and pay tribute to all those who have gone on before us.

Please do not ask for transfers if you are researching family surnames. That isnt fair to the actual descendants.
Please send a message through the edit, on each memorial. That way I can find the memorials quickly. If they are in my family tree at all, I may choose not to transfer them.

RE: Infant Wrye
You might try calling Harold Loveless, who is the Masonic care taker for the cemetery. He lives just outside of Metropolis near the cemetery. Or you can call the lady in the genealogy room at the public library, who has the cemetery books, and see if I just missed it. I don't recall any Wrye surnames; perhaps it was spelled Wire or some other variant. I didn't look, but is there a photo of the Wrye parent burials? If you mention that in a repost of your photo request, someone could look at the photo and find the area easier. I live in SC. and was just visiting the cemetery for my own kin and looked for the requests while there. Good luck.

Matthew Fitzgeralds.
Thanks so much for linking Matthew Fitzgeralds to his wife Almeda E. Story Fitzgeralds. I am trying to link this family on Find A Grave and you have helped me in doing this.

These two entries are for the same person.

Willie Mai Mathis Osborne Smith 1911-1992 was married to Taylor Woodrow Smith and is buried beside him. My TN family did not recognize her as Billie M Smith with Taylor Woodrow Smith because we always called them Willie Mai and 'Smittie'. Someone made a new entry using her full name but no picture on this site. Also there is the question of the maiden name attached to her as Pittman. I have no idea where that came from, it's just a mistake on a record somewhere.

I hope you know how this can be corrected. I also posted this and emailed the person who took a picture of their gravestone.

Hi Kathy,

Could I please have permission to use your photo in my family tree?

Benjamin Bembrey Memorial # 27983699

They are both buried in Guy Lady Cemetery, Lyon County, Kentucky. They are my 3rd Great Grandparents.

Thank you in advance.

Hello, I am making a request regarding the Byars family in the Maple Spring Cemetery in Marshall County Ky. I think you do a terrific job at putting together all of these pictures in the web site. My grandparents, most of my aunts, and uncles all buried there. Arley W."Webb" Byars is my mother's father. He was born January 16, 1884 and he died on August 31, 1958, although the tombstone says 1957. This is not any fault of yours but of the monument company that did the engraving. I have contacted the Purchase Monument Co in Mayfield, and they have agreed to correct the year date, through the courtesy of Filbeck,Cann, and King Funeral Home in Benton. If you will please change the year to 1958. Also, my grandparents had 7 children Raymond Byars, Clelon Byars buried next to my grandmother Noma F. Loman Byars buried at Maple Spring, Lovella Byars St Marie, Luella "Cindy" Byars Dotson buried at Maple Spring, and Mozell Byars Darnall, my mother, buried at Marshall Co. Memory Gardens. Thanks for considering this and hope you can for me and my family.. Kerry Darnall

James Oliver roach
Kathy my sister and I found this grave yard a couple years ago. James Oliver Roach is our great grandfather. I have his death certificate that says he is born in the sassafras graveyard but we could not find his grave. Do you have a photo of his grave and if so would love to know where it is. Would also like to know how to be able to keep the graveyard up now that I have moved here. Appreciate all the help you can give me
