Bio and Links
Bio Photo If you contact me, please take a moment to say hello, good morning, or hey how are ya. On occasion I get "suggest a correction" notices that are brief, abrupt, and unfriendly in tone and seem more like robot communication than actual human beings. It's a personal pet peeve and I don't react well to those sorts of messages. A little simple human courtesy goes a long way with me.

I research my family history in southwestern and south central Pennsylvania for the most part, although I live in northeastern New Jersey. Counties of interest include Bedford, Blair, Franklin, Fulton, Somerset, Westmoreland, Cambria, Fayette, Washington, Indiana, and others.

PLEASE: If you request an interaction with me, whether to discuss a memorial or request a transfer, please do not be "Anonymous" and not provide any means to contact you. I recently had someone request a transfer but when I tried to contact the person, was told that the submitter was anonymous and there was no way to leave a public message for him or her. I'm not comfortable with this method of communicating. Thanks.

PLEASE: If you write to me via "Suggest a Correction" PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE provide me with evidence in the form of some kind of documentation for any edits you'd like me to make. This is especially true if I don't already know who you are. It's not possible for me to simply accept what someone out of the blue tells me is valid without sources, documentation, proof or some other compelling argument. Sorry to sound like a grouch, but that's just the way my work goes.

RE: Frank A. Langham
Accept or not as you will. I provide information generally from first hand sources from the 18th and early 19th century. I have worked on many (at least 20 families in past 2 days) families since then and it's not important enough to me to seek out the source(s) again. Thanks for understanding.

Hey Michael, You're so very welcome for the photos. On the other side of Elisha & Sarah Dickey's stone was a daughter Nora Eva, the only side that had the Dickey name at the base of the stone. I will add that photo tonight! And you're right, prime time for findagraving! Barbara

Good Morning Michael, Thank you for the transfer of Williams memorial to me. It is appreciated so very much. I have linked him to his parents now.

The death certificate does not match the tombstone's dates. The newpaper for John Bennett was dated Jan 1906 and the John Bennett in the tombstone died 1905. I think you might have the wrong John Bennett

Thanks for all the great gravestone pictures! I'm planning a trip to Ligioner, PA to do some genealogy and would like to go the Union Church Cemetery. On my last trip I could not find it. I would greatly appreciate directions.
Thanks again and Have a great summer! Chris
