Bio and Links
Bio Photo I began my family ancestry research in 2007 after the loss of my brother, grandmother, and father-in-law within a 1 year period...I just wish that I had started this sooner when those who could answer my questions were still around--not to mention identify people in old pictures...I have just recently signed up as a volunteer for my local cemeteries...it is very peaceful to take a break and help others find their ancestors resting places...there is something very comforting in returning the favor for others who have helped me...

As I find family members, I am creating memorials for them and linking them with the family. The only memorials I have are family members so if you would like more information or have questions, please email me. My family research is ongoing and these memorials are in conjunction with researching so I am slow about creating them but very much working on it.

I am currently also checking and/or creating memorials from the stone readings of the following cemeteries:

RE: Claudette Jewell
Hi,
The marriage records (which aren't always correct) states that her father was born in Oklahoma City, OK and was deceased at the time of the marriage in 1953. I found where Collet was fined for driving an unlicensed truck in March of 1950 and had an address of Paris, IL. Don't know if that was Sr. or Jr.
I found an obit for a Everett Risinger of Kenosha, WI that list half brothers of Collet Wolfe Jr, Homer Wolfe, and half sister Claudine Jewell. Exie was first married to Aurthur Risinger and they had children before she married Collett.

Claudine Jeanetta Wolfe Jewell
Sorry, that link didn't work so well. If you log onto the Vigo County Public Library website, they have marriage records online. Also she listed her full christian name as Claudine Jeanetta Wolfe.

Thanks,
Tom Ferris

Hi,
I rejected your edit to change Claudine's spouse from Bunny Jewell to unknown. There is a record of Claudine and Bunny's marriage on file at the Vigo County Courthouse. If you have other proof or reasoning please let me know.

RE: John McMahan
Not a problem. All it took was phone call. Just thought that since he died here he might be buried here. I hope someone is able to locate his resting place.

Cornelius McCoy
I too am a descendant of Cornelius McCoy through his son John and wife Mary Ann McLary.

Have you been to the burial site of both Cornelius and Ailcy? I would love to see it. Is it possible to visit?

Woodlawn Cem Photo Request
Hi. I am a Find A Grave volunteer and would be happy to take your requested tombstone photo(s) at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Urbana, Illinois. The problem is, the cemetery cannot release burial information to a volunteer. It involves the privacy act. Check the front page of the cemetery memorial to see their policy. If you can include the burial location, section, block, etc., then volunteers can get those photos for you.

David & Ellen Sims
I have checked the cemetery records and found a possible burial location for David but could not find Ellen. There is a Sims plot with a Claire and Charlie Sims in the middle. Records show that a couple of bodies are buried on each side of them but no names except that someone wrote in on one of the body locations, David Sims's name. Claire and Charlie have head stones but no other head stone are there. Would you like for me to post a picture of the area for them, if you feel confident that they are the two buried there?
