Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been working on my family genealogy since 1960. I have done extensive research on most of my families. I have photographs of over 600 Helm family and related family members. I enjoy doing the research and filming in the cemeteries, especially in family cemeteries that may in the future be destroyed. I will be glad to help anyone that I can. All of the entries that I made were made individually so I would not be surprised to find errors. Anyone that finds an error please contact me and I will be more than happy to correct it.

RE: Mary Frances Bennett
You have checked the census, marriage records. Have you checked the wills at the court house in the county where the husbands died. If they had a will, it would list the children. The last husband Joseph Bates might list her but would list the children. The Kentucky Room at the Daviess County Library is a wonderful place to look, it has lots of Family Histories. Family Histories might give a hint, some have the old family Bibles listed, when they tell where they are buried. She could have been buried with any three of the husbands so you would have to look at all three for family cemeteries.. With the name Mary, lots of time they called them Mollie and Frances would be Fannie. Just an idea as to not just look for Mary Frances. The daughter Audra was in Ohio Co. If you knew where she went to church they might have a record as to if she was buried in the church cemetery. Get online{Facebook} and ask the question in some of the County History Group there might by chance be a relative online that might see it and answer you. is a free search site for family history. I have used it many times but never take it for granite but use it as a place to look. Of course no death certificate, but wills, deeds, marriage records, church records, family histories, Bible records. When you get back so far and the paper trail ends lots of time it is just connecting with another family member looking and has it in their records handed down by family. I will keep looking also.

RE: Dossie Bennett
Hi. Yes, Ora is buried next to him but has no headstone. I placed flowers on her grave, created a record on find a grave, and snapped a picture for you.

James is not buried nearby. I checked 3 rows above and below about 8 across each way...

The link to his son James indicates that James is buried at Riverside National (Veterans) cemetery. That cemetery is about 1.5 hours east of Whittier but they have wonderful volunteers. They also I believe have an online directory of those buried there.

Good luck!

RE: Bennett family
I sent your question to a Bennett researcher that was the one that did all the work on the Bennett Cemetery. See if this helps

Joseph Bates married 7-28-1881 Mary F Bennett Ohio County.

Joseph & Mary had Audra Pearl (Bates) Tooley 1888-1949 buried Waltons Creek Cemetery, Ohio County

And this could be sister to Audra?? not a clue =Mary Frances Bates 1890-1946 married 8-30-1906 Eldred Moseley Daviess County, Mt Carmel Cemetery, Ohio Co., Ky.

Look at Owensboro obit for Mary Frances Moseley who died in Indiana.

Look at Owensboro obit of Charles Riley 1871-1956 buried Oak Hill Cemetery, McLean County

Look at Owensboro obit of Audra Pearl Tooley

Census in possibly Indiana

I did look around and didn't see a marker for James. I did a little research but was unable to find any record of his death. Sorry.
