Bio and Links
Bio Photo *I ask that you do not copy any of my photos WITHOUT MY CONSENT or WITHOUT GIVING ME PROPER CREDIT. Too many times my photos have been "lifted" from either at F.A.G. or at Ancestry.com where they have been reposted to a foreign website and in order to view them, one must pay a fee. Additionally, I have come across many of my photos on other genealogy websites with no mention of a credit.

While I will let most people copy a photo if it is to be used for genealogy purposes, I strictly prohibit people using any of my photos for monetary gain. All I ask is that you give me credit for any photos you would like to copy.

Regarding transfers of memorials - I will be happy to transfer a memorial if the person is not related to me or an ancestor of mine. Transfers should be within the F.A.G. guidelines, i.e., NO BULK SURNAME REQUESTS and only for direct relatives within four generations (siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren).

As per F.A.G. guidelines, transfers for non-direct relatives (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.) are not required to be transferred.

With that being said, I have to say that I inherited my interest in "root-digging" from my Dad, who has always been fascinated with history and genealogy.

I like the connection it gives me to the past and it lets me leave something behind for future generations.

While I strive to be as accurate as possible, sometimes human error can occur. If there are any corrections to be made, don't hesitate to let me know.

Thank you.

RE: Request for permissions to use photo
Thanks Wendy - after sending you my request, I discovered that you had taken several headstone photos of my wife's ancestors in Hillside Cemetery. I would appreciate it greatly if you would allow us to use them as well. My wife and I have photographed several cemeteries in our life and I know the work involved. Send me email to my personal account at msohlberg@att.net on how you would want us to credit you for the images.
Best regards,
Martin

Koch Relation
I have been searching for ancestors and noticed you have a lot from Evergreen Cemetery in Barrington,IL. Thank you for the information on the Koch family starting with Christian and Anna Koch. This turns out it would be my Great-Great-Grandparents. They had another daughter Amanada Kock Panter which are in Bethania Cemetery in Justice,IL. Just would like to add information to link it more. If you would like more information please let me know. I have a lot more since then. Also do you have any information before Chirstian and Anna? Are you related to them as well?
Thank you for all your information.

RE: Cora Cook memorial
Nuts, I just created another listing for my mom , then linked it to my grandmother. I don't know who James Bellert, the other contributor is. What should I do now? Thanks for your help.

THANK YOU
Hi Wendy,

I've become an admirer of yours! I spent some time this Spring and Summer and photographed every marker in Evergreen Cemetery in Barrington. I've been creating memorials for the markers that had none, but realized that you have spent quite a bit of time creating memorials for most of the graves in that cemetery. As I've photographed several other entire cemeteries, I know the devotion and time spent to document all those memorials. I appreciate all the effort you put into the Find A Grave memorials. You are exceptionally accurate in the details and the quality of your photographs is extraordinary. Because I primarily spend several hours at a time getting as many photos as possible, I can't always get the lighting correct and rely on Photoshop to get the photos as best as I can. I don't think I've seen one of your photos that doesn't look terrific.

So, thank you for all your work, from one of your admirers,

Jim Bellert
