Bio and Links
Bio Photo *I ask that you do not copy any of my photos WITHOUT MY CONSENT or WITHOUT GIVING ME PROPER CREDIT. Too many times my photos have been "lifted" from either at F.A.G. or at Ancestry.com where they have been reposted to a foreign website and in order to view them, one must pay a fee. Additionally, I have come across many of my photos on other genealogy websites with no mention of a credit.

While I will let most people copy a photo if it is to be used for genealogy purposes, I strictly prohibit people using any of my photos for monetary gain. All I ask is that you give me credit for any photos you would like to copy.

Regarding transfers of memorials - I will be happy to transfer a memorial if the person is not related to me or an ancestor of mine. Transfers should be within the F.A.G. guidelines, i.e., NO BULK SURNAME REQUESTS and only for direct relatives within four generations (siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren).

As per F.A.G. guidelines, transfers for non-direct relatives (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.) are not required to be transferred.

With that being said, I have to say that I inherited my interest in "root-digging" from my Dad, who has always been fascinated with history and genealogy.

I like the connection it gives me to the past and it lets me leave something behind for future generations.

While I strive to be as accurate as possible, sometimes human error can occur. If there are any corrections to be made, don't hesitate to let me know.

Thank you.

RE: Homeyer Memorials
Thanks Wendy I have no problem regarding Sophia and William...please feel free to move the photos of their memorials. Friedrich is the one with bio, and there isn't a duplicate. I will transfer his to the descendant for maintenance. After all takes place I will remove Sophia/William. Thanks for all you do in recording memorials. It is an extremely valuable tool for a family researcher.

Sorry about the repeat of my earlier message. Don't know how that happened either. Audrey

Homeyer Memorials
Hi Wendy...thank you for calling attention to the duplications. Normally I check before adding memorials that are not of family members. This one was somehow missed. As I am within walking distance of Town of Maine Cemetery, and have my husband there, I visit frequently, and like to take photos of noteworthy monuments. As a genealogist I also try to do a little research, and include a bio. This was the case with Frederick Homeyer.

I too have been contacted by a Homeyer descend-ant. Inasmuch as I'm not sure how to transfer my photos to your site along with the bio, it seems the best way would be for me to be the one to transfer the management to the requesting descend-ant. Again I'm sorry about the duplication. Best, Audrey

William and Sophia Homeyer in Town of Maine cemetery
I am a descendant of the above. I am adding and enhancing relative memorials in this cemetery. I noticed there are duplicates of these entries for the cemetery. Your entries were added first with complete dates and no marker pictures. Another set was added in 2012 with only year values and marker pictures. Can you provide any input to why duplicates exist? I would like to take ownership of these to enhance the memorials with more information, unless you are also a descendant and wish to maintain ownership. Please advise. Thanks
