I have been fascinated with cemeteries as long as I can remember.|
I try to put in the information as it is on the headstone, but that is not always correct/complete, so I am always happy to make corrections and add links when asked. Accuracy is important when using Find-A-Grave as a genealogy tool.
You have my permission to use my pictures for your genealogy research, but please reference the Find-A-Grave Memorial number.
If I have put in a memorial of one of your family members and you would like to take over the maintenance of it, please use the "Suggest a Correction" link and put your Find-A-Grave Member number in the request.
Also please specify your relationship when requesting transfers. I am no longer transfering outside the Find-A-Grave guidelines. If the relationship is not specified, the request will probably be ignored.
Find-A-Grave Policy on Transfers
Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations, this would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. Keep in mind that the original contributor may also be related to the memorial and may not want to make the transfer.
Thank you and happy stoning to all...

I am trying to read the headstone of Lillie M and Ellis J Ratliff. I have included the Find-A-Grave locator for Lillie in the title.
I am trying to link family together in your project and have located the headstone of the father 'John Wesley Ratliff (13470169)' in the Fairmount Cemetery in Denver.
John Wesley Ratliff is the son of Thomas Boswell and Sarah A Henderson Ratliff and after getting married in 1855 moved his growing family to Colorado while the remainder of his siblings moved to Missouri.
If possible, can you email me a high resolution images of the headstones you have uploaded for my records.
|Bill Merchant||More about the Family of Leonard Merchant|
Good evening, Lance.
I sent some information to you in February 1914 regarding Deacon Leonard Merchant. Since that time, I have learned a bit more about the family.
Leonard,a farmer, and his wife, Priscilla, along with their two children, Joseph and Julia, left Vermont to settle in Kansas in 1854 or 1855. According to a 4 June 1855 newspaper, Joseph died, at age 9, aboard the riverboat, Sultan, near Kansas City. According to the 1857 Kansas Territorial census, the family lived in Lecompton, Douglas County.
Leonard's mother, Prudence, apparently moved from Vermont to Lecompton after the death of her husband, Joseph, in 1856. She died in Lecompton Township on 29 August 1859.
I plan to to take a day trip to Lecompton --about an hour drive from my home in Overland Park -- sometime later this week. I will be visiting a couple of museums and cemeteries in an attempt to discover more about the family.
Please pass this along to Dr. Leonard Merchant in California if you are able.
William "Bill" R. Merchant
Overland Park, KS
|Debby Y.||George Richard Gandy|
Hi Lance, fyi there are two Find A Grave webpages for George Richard Gandy. Maybe it would be nice to combine info and have just one? What do you think?

|FamilyManic||Would you like a few more memorials?|
Would you like a few more memorials transferred TO YOU. I have finished updating a lot of Colorado memorials - (Please read my profile page). I can transfer several hundred of these to you because your images are on most of them. I am considering transferring ALMOST all the RAMAH Cemetery memorials to you. I will be retaining management of my maternal grandmother and perhaps one or two more RAMAH cemetery memorials while I have no interest in the remainder of the memorials now that I have finished updating them. Please advise. All the best to you and yours.

Thank you for making the edits.
|scubakiwi||Harriet Wolheter, d1859, IOOF, Gilpin County|
This is very strange, someone with the same name is said to be buried in Ohio, same or very similar birth and death dates. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=14135422
|Peggy Bargen Duey||Find A Grave Change|
A friend told me about this change a couple days after this was deployed. I have sent edit/s to you so I thought maybe you didn't know about it. You might want to pass it on to your friends. thanks!!! ~Peggy
New "Automated" system for "Suggest a Correction/Submit an Edit"
New System for Memorial Edits deployed by FindAGrave on 12/5/2013
Go to your Contributor/Profile page.
Look in the upper right corner. You should now see a tab called "Edits" - check there to see if any have been submitted to you. Then just review and accept.
Way easier for doing updates to names/dates/ places/plot #s/links to spouse/s and parents.
You still will get e-mails to add info to bio section.
|Shaun Boyd||Spring Valley Cemetery|
I just gotta say that your photos of the Spring Valley Cemetery are much better than the ones I have here at the library in Castle Rock! Well Done!
