I have been drawn to cemeteries for most of my life.

I signed up to be a Find A Grave volunteer not to set contributor records but to assist others in finding ancestral information.

I use no pseudonyms or screen names, just Michael Renquist. I do like the recognition so I most always include my name. I am willing to release or reassign any records I create so do not hesitate to ask.

RE: Stonehocker gravestones in Mountain View Cemetery
It is looking a lot better, the town is doing a good job for the small cemetery. The only damage is weather related i.e, small markers with glass that held the names of some that are now broken and unreadable. I did remove some overgrown grass and a ton of tumbleweeds from the north side, and brushed off the two remaining markers to take photos. People had remarked about how there were only 30 or so graves out there, and I told them that you are off by about 110! Go see for yourself...

RE: Stonehocker gravestones in Mountain View Cemetery
Thank you. Were they the ones that were knocked down? There were a couple that were face down. I had run out of batteries, camera and phone, and had to make a return trip, so I may have missed a spot also..

Stonehocker gravestones in Mountain View Cemetery
Hi, I just took about 140 photos of the remaining gravestones in Mountain View Cemetery in Hudson, CO and there are a few that are either illegible or unmarked. I saw that you had taken a picture of the Stonehocker gravestones and was wondering if you could recall where in the cemetery they were located? They are no longer there!
Weather has wreaked havoc on some stones and there are a lot of empty spots, in other places.
Thank you for your cooperation,
G. Luke

Alice Johnson
I appreciate the effort you put into searching for Alice Johnson. I will have to do further research to find out where she is actually buried and notify the creator of the memorial that the cemetery is probably wrong. Thanks again, Michael.

J H McDowell photo request
Thank you for trying to fill the photo request for J H McDowell, and for taking the time to check with the cemetery. His memorial lists him as Unknown birth and death. Did the cemetery personnel say if they had any other information on him besides "no marker?" I am trying to connect him to my family; however, there is very little to go on.

Thank you again,
Renae

Opal Browning
Thank you so much for placing Opal's headstone on her memorial. We haven't been back to Colorado since our grandmother's funeral. This was our first time to see the stone. Jim
