Bio and Links
Bio Photo I enjoy photographing and researching graves in the local cemeteries. You are welcome to use my photos of your relatives graves in your family trees. That is what they are for and I don't need to be credited.

If you find errors in my memorials please let me know so I can fix them. I will edit my memorials if your information doesn't conflict with what I have found in my research, unless you have proof the old documents are in error (which we know often happens).

Photo Requests:
If you don't want people using your pics then please don't fill the photo requests. That is just plain stupid. If you are that hung up on your "copyright" then maybe you should just put your pics in your own private trees.

Non-Burials:
Try to find where they were buried, but if you can't be aware that when someone does find them in a cemetery then FAG rules state that your memorial will be the one deleted, no matter if yours was there first.

No Death Date:
Please don't enter memorials just because there is a headstone. If there is not a death date and they could possibly still be alive, be respectful and don't create a memorial. Many people plan ahead and buy headstones years before they die or their name is put on a spouses headstone. Just hold on to your pics until you find a death record for them.

Transfers:
I will gladly transfer memorials to relatives, as long as they aren't related to us. I don't care about my numbers and I don't think any of us should be holding anyone's ancestors hostage. If you ask for a transfer it is nice if you can add a bio, if there isn't one, so no one is forgotten, plus it helps others in verifying their trees. Linking memorials together also helps all of us out here trying to unscramble mysteries.

Let's all work together, play nice, forget about your numbers and make this a place where people can find all their missing links.

As an added note... if you email me please tell me who you are talking about. I don't answer emails that just request that I email back with no explanation of why I should, or requesting that I call. I don't call anyone.

Memorial 115548995 = James Ogle
Shirley;
My name is Jim Ogle and am the grandson of the subject James Ogle who was the son of George Ogle and Catherine Boyce. I recently sent in an edit to correct his birth date from 25 Dec 1855 to 25 Dec 1853. Said edit was denied. I know that all referenced documentation (census, etc) and his grave stone indicate 1855, and I always thought that was correct. But his record of baptism shows a date of 2 Jan 1854 with a date of birth of 25 Dec 1853. Also his sister M. Alice was born 5 Nov 1855. If he was her twin he was a little delayed.
T know you were not aware of any of this, you do a great job.
Sincerely,
Jim Ogle

RE: Harold Francis Ayer
I live in Western MA, but I went out that way to hunt down some relatives and take photos. I saw Hilldale...and the Haverhill City Cemetery...both made me want to cry. The gate was closed, but there was people in there mowing... mayhaps volunteers? But yes...mostly unmowed, a whole section that was allowed to go back to woods... graves in horrible shape. And then to see the city cemetery right next door, with all the numbered graves, and very few markers... sigh. I hope somebody takes those both on as pet projects. Such a huge loss!

RE: Harold Francis Ayer
I would much rather leave your memorial up...you did the research, and you had yours up first.

I am thinking that since he died in Illinois, he is probably buried there, and the stone in Haverhill is a cenotaph. I have run into several of those lately...

So...I propose...we leave up both memorials for the time being, and I will add to mine that it is probably a cenotaph. And I will leave the link to yours on there as well. :D That way, we have both places covered lol. Now...which one is his wife buried in?

I thought just taking pictures would be so simple...lmao
