Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been involved in genealogy from an early age; my interest having been cultivated by my grandmother and uncle. I was raised in a family where you were expected to know your family history and taught its value and the importance of passing it on. To date, I've been at it for over 30-years and have met some wonderful cousins and friends along the way. This hobby is a labor of love and through discovery and contacts has brought my extended family closer together. I've been away from this hobby for a a few years now and look forward to returning to the books.

RE: Hatler Murphy
Hi, I hope this still finds you. Sorry I did not respond earlier (like a year or two ago). I am not related to the Murphys I am related to the Hatlers. My grandmother Mildred Hatler Elam was the daughter of Thomas Hatler, Maggies brother. Leonard Murphy was my Grandmothers 1st cousin making Maggie her aunt.If William Murphy was your great grandfathers brother that would make him your great, great uncle. I will check with my Mother for maybe some pictures of Maggie and let you know.

Bill Dee Tucker and Ruth Sulkosky's graves at Belmont
Do you want a photo of the tombstone for Smitty George Tucker (Feb 14 1950 - Dec 19, 2003)? He is buried next to Bill and Ruth and I have the photo already. If you do, just do another photo request for him.

Thomas and Gertie Jackson
Hi, I went to Lodi Memorial Cemetery today and did verify that Gertie and Thomas Jackson were buried there. I looked all over the area that the cemetery designated and could find no evidence of a marker for either. I am an ex funeral director and did examine the area closely. The records for that period are not too detailed. They are listed in Pioneer Section II.

I was happy to take the photos for you. According to the Cemetery Committee, Lenore should be in the same plot, however, they have no dates for her and there is not a stone. There is also no record of Kenneth or John.

Murphy's at East Lawn
Hi Colin,
The East Lawn Cemetery staff has not yet provided me with the locations. I called yesterday and left a voicemail but no response. I am going there today since the weather is better and will bring with me a copy of the map. Whether or not they are prepared with the locations, I will make sure I do not leave without that info. Do you happen to know if the Murphy's are all buried together or have any of their plot info? If not, that is ok but anything helps. It's a big cemetery....beautiful and big. ;)

Murphy photos
Hello Colin,
I'm happy to take the photos for you. I went to the cemetery yesterday to take the photos but the office has their records filed by index cards and will be calling me Monday with the map of the plots you requested. It also began to rain pretty hard yesterday afternoon so if it wasn't one reason, it was the another. I will take the photos on Monday (if weather permits) and will email you high-resolution pics shortly thereafter.

Thank you.
