I find copying headstones interesting, I like finding interesting people with interesting story's. Most my family buried in the greater Philadelphia area but I live in the Harrisburg area so I'll copy headstones here. Worked inside most my life and wanted to be outside after I retired so copied headstones and published them in the Quarterly once issued by the Capital Area Genealogical Society.|
Please use 'edit' tab on memorial page for corrections and or additional information.
I now strictly adhere to the Find A Grave guidelines regarding transfers. No exceptions. Requests made that fall outside of the guidelines, or do not state relationship, are no longer being acknowledged. Virtual cemeteries are the way to "gather" your ancestors together.
Please don't justify an out-of-guideline transfer request for the sake of adding links and/or other information. Am perfectly capable of doing this, especially now with the new EDIT system - much quicker than transferring. If you decide to not forward information or links because a transfer isn't done, then that's your decision.

|Jacob Leisle||David Eppler Correction|
The Remains reinterred in a mass grave in Sec A in 1960s when original section was cleared for I-83 cloverleaf. Both Catharine and David Epplerís remains were moved and head stones must be gone. David's wife dates are correct. The recording of Davidís internments was recorded wrong: born August 27, 1752 and death August 13, 1837. Of course, the church records confirm birth was August 13, 1737 and death in July 1822. Whoever recorded the information when the moved the couple read David's headstone as death year 1837 with the 84 years, 11 months and 16 days and came up with the wrong birth date of August 27 1752. Please can you change birth to Aug 13, 1737 and death to July 29, 1822 for David Eppler. In Shoops Cemetery, Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania

Thank you. I forgot to add her information in after researching my great-great grandmother.
I did some of the suggestions you suggested. I did want to correct you on some of the information you provided, though, for your own records. Ann didn't have a middle name. The P actually stood for her maiden name. She died in Newberry, York, PA. You have Jane Patts as her mother, but her maiden name was actually Potts. I hope this helps. Elijah & Ann Prowell Krone was my father's great grandparents. We obtained this information out of the family Krone Bible.

Thank you for all the Prowell corrections. They have been made and do appreciate the help. Hubby is now 81 and me a few years younger but feel lots older some days. Still like trying to keep up with all the Prowell research. Do not walk any cemeteries but do some research at archives and York Historical from time to time. Sorry to hear of the health problems, we have our share too, but keep active and stay positive and really like seeing the death certificates on line these days, sure does help in research.
|Barry Michie||Nancy Jane nee Shatto Sherman|
Thanks for sending the info on Nancy Jane Shatto's second marriage certificate. Much appreciated. Her memorial # 138141457 has been updated to include this information and also has occasioned working on her memorial a bit more. All part of putting the pieces of the grand puzzle together.
|Marie and Bruce Newell||Paxtang Cemetery|
We respectfully request permission to use the entrance photo and the Dunmire's cemetery marker photos for use in our personal tree. Bruce has cousins interred there and the photos will make a great addition to our tree.
Thanks for your consideration.
