Someone was kind enough to add my daughter's grave on here before I even knew about this site.|
A HUGE THANK YOU to those of you who stop by Meaghan's memorial and leave a token; from a momma who misses her more than words could ever express, it gets me teary eyed that you would take the time to do so. Blessings to you~
Just trying to pay it forward...
My grandmother passed away in September on her 90th birthday. If you would like to leave a flower

98% of the memorials I add come from pictures of the headstones taken at the cemeteries. It's the only way to get everyone without someone being missed and just about every cemetery I have been to there have been memorials that were overlooked (even in the small ones.) Some are very difficult to read so I put on as much info as I can make out in hopes that someone will come along with the missing pieces or corrections for what I entered. This site is made up of volunteers GIVING UP THEIR TIME to do this so there is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON TO BE RUDE when contacting with corrections.
.."We do realize, however, that when transcribing a cemetery, it is not always possible to determine if the person is living or not. Please do not add pre-need memorials from (1931-present) to Find A Grave." Yes, I do add all markers if they are before the 1931 birth date and have no death date as more often than not they have passed away and the marker has not been updated. There are loved ones out there that may have been searching for that person which is the whole reason I do this.
Thank you to all of those who give of their time to add to this site!!

Thanks for looking. I appreciate it. My Stephens family goes back to Virginia as well, but they have been in Charlotte as far back as the early 1800s. I don't know of any from Tennessee.

I got your photos of the church and the columbarium. Many thanks for all your efforts.

Your note: I did not get any photos of the outside of the Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church Columbarium yet but I will very soon.
Please let me know whenever you post your overall photo. I would like to add your photo to my family history files.

Many thanks for all your efforts in locating my uncle's marker.
Do you also have any overall photos of the Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church Columbarium? That would make a nice addition to its FindaGrave main page.

Thank you so very much for the work you do with FInd A Grave. It is so blessed of you to give of your time for others. I am no longer able to visit cemeteries because of age and health and I am sure there are many many more in my category.
Without people like you we would never be able to visit our extended families graves. Thank you.
I hope you won't mind my making copies of you photos of my families markers. I am trying to get as much of my family and extended family on Ancestry and Family Tree Maker as I can before my time is up. I want my descendants and extended family to have access to their "roots".
May God richly bless you in you work. I left flowers for your daughter and grandmother.

Until about an hour ago, I didn't feel comfortable formally updating Blanche's maiden name to Meyers since I found that her husband, mother and step father identified her as Blanche Bryant.
Then I found the death certificate of her daughter Pauline Evelyn Gage in Arizona for the year 1960 (Blanche was still alive at this time), and Blanches maiden name is listed as Marrs.
I believe that was an error due to pronunciation, and that they were saying Meyers.
So, I feel comfortable listing her maiden name as Meyers and I total agree that her step-father should be linked in her BIO.
Her step-father's F.A.G link is 18472777 (Charles C Bryant).
Thank you so much!
I'll sent a formal edit for her maiden name to you.
grand niece to Blanche.
I am so thrilled I found Blanche. I was disappointed that our family never knew about Blanche or even cared.

The tile mosaic and the tiles with her genealogy-so unique and beautiful. My condolences to you and her family.

There is a book that states that in Aug of 1877 a wagon train of people arrived in Camp Verde, Arizona from Missouri = "My first job was making and laying dodies for my board for Uncle Jackie Thompson. Uncle Jackie was a brother to Grandma Roberts an Uncle of John Roberts and Mrs Jim Davidson. Two dobie houses I helped build are still standing on the Wines Place"
This paragraph was what started my request to you. I am so excited to have the other Thompson names.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart or doing this work, the photos are excellent!!!
I'm writing about the memorial you posted for Rose O'Keefe at Glen Cove Cemetery in Sullivan County, NY. Rose is the sister of my gg-grandmother and she was from the city of Glen Cove, New York. I am wondering if there is an actual cemetery record for her in this cemetery?
Did you pull the info from her death record? This cemetery is not near Glen Cove which is on Long Island. I have searched for her grave with no success to date. The death record unfortunately did not have a specific cemetery which makes it much harder as records from 1916 were not kept well in most of the area cemeteries.
