Bio Photo Someone was kind enough to add my daughter's grave on here before I even knew about this site.
Meaghan Olivia
A HUGE THANK YOU to those of you who stop by Meaghan's memorial and leave a token; from a momma who misses her more than words could ever express, it gets me teary eyed that you would take the time to do so. Blessings to you~

Just trying to pay it forward...

My grandmother passed away in September on her 90th birthday. If you would like to leave a flower
Lois Purtymun Carpenter

98% of the memorials I add come from pictures of the headstones taken at the cemeteries. It's the only way to get everyone without someone being missed and just about every cemetery I have been to there have been memorials that were overlooked (even in the small ones.) Some are very difficult to read so I put on as much info as I can make out in hopes that someone will come along with the missing pieces or corrections for what I entered. This site is made up of volunteers GIVING UP THEIR TIME to do this so there is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON TO BE RUDE when contacting with corrections.

.."We do realize, however, that when transcribing a cemetery, it is not always possible to determine if the person is living or not. Please do not add pre-need memorials from (1931-present) to Find A Grave." Yes, I do add all markers if they are before the 1931 birth date and have no death date as more often than not they have passed away and the marker has not been updated. There are loved ones out there that may have been searching for that person which is the whole reason I do this.

Thank you to all of those who give of their time to add to this site!!

Thank You
I wanted to thank you for all the contributions you have made to findagrave, and the hard work that went into each and every one of them. Many of your photos have made it into my family tree, and if it weren't for you, I would still have branches with no leaves attached.

Thank you SO much!!

Mount Sinai AME church cemetery
I appreciate your work and efforts on your cemetery project. It appears that we are duplicating our effort to record grave on this site. I volunteer at the local Greenwood county library and photograph cemeteries as well. It is important to verify if the cemetery is African-American. We are currently working on several large projects and could use the extra help. Please include the following fact on your description {AME} to avoid conflict. I went and photographed the cemetery as well.

Roland Scott, memorial number 119256366, was my mother's nephew. His mother, Rose Scott, was my mother's mother's sister, Rose Beaudoin. Would you please either add Walter Scott, memorial number 130820216, as his father, and Rose Scott, memorial number 130820477 as his mother, or give me maintenance of their memorials so I can add them? Realize that if you give me their maintenance and you want it back you have to contact me and I can give it back to you. Thank you, Bob N
