Remember our Veterans for all their service and sacrifice. Love to do my walking in cemeteries as they are so peaceful. Spend time at Bellefontaine Cemetery in St Louis as I have three generations on both sides of my mothers side buried there.

Thank you in advance for any edits or added info that you may send to me as I Probably will not send individual messages.

How do I get a relative's memorial transferred to me?
First, Determine if you really need the memorial transferred to you for management. Transferring of management should only be requested If you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections without having to request management. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request. With hundreds of thousands of contributors, we have many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire tree.

Vogel-Farmer Family Plot
Thanks for all you do!!

My great grandparents at buried at the Vogel-Farmer family plot at Bellefontaine.

1) I noted on Find a Grave that the photo of John N. Vogel and Eva Vogel showed that the tombstone had fallen over since I visited there a few years ago. I contacted Mr. Richard Lay at the office and he had it quickly repaired. I am so glad that I saw your photo online as I live in Maryland! I have a new photo of it that Mr. Lay sent me. How may I sent it to you to replace the sad photo that is currently there?

2) Also,I have a death certificate from Missouri Digital Heritage online for John and Eva's daughter Mary Louise Vogel that shows her birth date to be Jun 26, 1850 and her date of death to be March 22, 1933. The death cert was signed by my grandfather Percy J Farmer, MD, so I am sure that the info is accurate. I could send you a copy of that too, if you would like.

David B. Ray, Jr
Hi, Randal,

Thought I'd touch base with you on David B. Ray, Jr. and see if we can figure out where the differences are in our info.

You mention that the census has David B. Ray, Jr. born to D. B. and Maron F. Ray in 1865 (and therefore I have one generation missing in the link). I have Donald Dennis Ray as born in 1865 to David Burcham Ray and Maron F. Ray. He shows up in the censuses with them in 1870 (TN) and 1880 (MO) as D. D. and Denis. I do not show D. B. and Maron with a child named David. I show David Burcham Ray (b. 1830) marrying Maron Francis James in Kentucky in 1852. Maron died in 1894. In 1894 or 1895 (sources vary and I haven't found the marriage certificate) David Burcham Ray married Elva Cecilia Stockbridge. I have as their children David B. Ray, Jr., Grace Ray, Ruth Ray, Fredrick Ray and Joseph Ray. [Baptist History Homepage gives 5 children, four still living in 1922 (but doesn't name them):] I may have gotten something wrong; but if David B. Ray, Jr. belongs to a missing son, then he is not the child of Elva C. Ray. Elva was the second wife of David Burcham Ray.

Thanks. Have a great day.

That obituary I got on a genealogy trip to Camp Point, Illinois several years ago. If you have ancestors that lived in Adams Co., Illinois. You can view Quincy Ill. newspapers from 1850-1926. At the Quincy public library web sight.

Thank you very much for catching the Samuel Sparks snafu. I realized what I'd done the second I hit send. If you'd accepted it, I was going to go back and remove it. Thank you.

The information for the edit requests I've made come from the book on Bromley genealogy by Viola Bromley copyright 1911.

RE: Swift
Sorry about that date on Samuel. I have two, the 7th and the 9th, and am waiting to see the film on the one dated the 7th.
Yes, Mable was another sibling. For her I have the dates 18 Jun 1887 - 25 Jan 1892.
Besides Mable, Samuel and Lolla (Charlotte); there is also a William J (7 Aug 1880 - 7 Jan 1885) and a Sarah (aka Sadie) (abt 1878 - 16 Jan 1885) also at Bellfontaine. Joseph would not be part of this particular family because there was a sibling Joseph E who was born in 1883 and died in 1959. I'll keep an eye out for him as I continue to work on this tree.

Thanks for the work you do. I do sincerely appreciate it.
