|Hello, I have been cleaning and restoring my family headstones throughout all of New York State since 2003. I am currently at 686 headstones cleaned/restored. Since I find myself in some far-flung cemeteries I decided to help others with pictures of their loved ones.|
I am currently researching family names:
Arnold-Bliss-Clarke-Closs-Carpenter-Carr-Holmes-Featherly-Knowles-Northup & Williams all of Rhode Island.
"The Headstone Hunter"
Theresa Knowles-Northup Caparco.
East Newark Cemetery
Forest Hills Cemetery
Friends Cemetery of Farmi...

We should. You are not going to beleive this but I just finished a family tree for the Piccolo Family. The wife is from the Valle/DelMese family. Her Aunt Josephine Valle was married twice; once to Pasquale Natale and then to Salvatore Caparco. And I think the Rose Borrelli was from the family that married another Valle. Small world. And I just presented the 218 page tree to them today. Wow. jean

Theresa, I am not related. I have almost completed finding the headstones of all my family so I decided that I would start photographing all over Mt. Hope and a few other cemeteries in the Rochester area. I know how much it meant to me when I found relatives from far away counties in New York, so I wanted to give back. I want people to be remembered. jean

I'm not related, I found the picture at a resale shop. I tried to find some one in the family to give it to. Some one contacted me and I sent him the original photo, can't remember his name now. I just hate seeing family photo's out of the family. I buy them when ever I can, and try and find someone related to them, and return them to the family. Take care, Richard

Thank you so much for the additional information.
Have a nice evening,

I believe you have incorrectly linked this person to Joseph Cawthra memorial (from Royston cemetery). While He DID have a second wife, Elizabeth Closs Brown (she was previously married to a Mr. Brown) the link you have to Joseph Cawthra at St. James cemetery in Toronto is incorrect.
I have been researching my Cawthra line for more than 25 years. If you look, the dates are not remotely the same.
While there is a Joseph Cawthra who was married to an Elizabth ? at that cemetery, he is NOT related to my family line where you have created a family link. The Toronto family was a family of very wealthy businessmen. Joseph Cawthra, husband to Elizabeth CLoss was a VERY poor farmer from the Burks FAlls area. He committed suicide only a year after marrying Elizabeth. He is buried at Royston cemetery next to his first wife, Mary. Please delete link to my family line. Looking closely at the dates will confirm this for you. I have lots of documented evidence.
